Agreed. He used Obama's list to stick it to the left.

What does that mean? and what does this "left" have do with it?

The left is his major opposition at the moment. I would think that's been painfully obvious. It is no coincidence that he used a list of countries compiled by the Obama administration. You see, when lefties complain and the media goes after him, it makes the left look like a bunch of hypocrites.

It just amazes me that protesters can't see that.

It's pretty obvious. The only trouble is that Obama never banned immigration from these countries.

Of course it's not. A new admin ALWAYS has to consider and utilize "data that exists" within the intel community .. often going back years in fact.

Thus, in reality, that claim

is way over the top and I find it quite strange .... playing politics to the hilt, desperately "reaching" in fact .. Seems there's a lot of that going around lately on all issues

Those seven nations are a mess and the intel community knows that. Choosing those seven nations for his symbolic ban is a reminder of which administration said there is a problem with those countries.

I agree on utilizing available data but given he had less than two weeks to consider the data, it's not a stretch that this was a political move designed in part to silence the left/media. Knowing what I know about the inner workings of politics, I would bet money it was a contributing factor in his decision to ban that list of countries.

I went over to Niagara Falls, New York for the day. No different than any other time I was there. Joe's talking out of his ass again.

I was thinking about it, but I could not get insurance on my barrel. :laugh3:

Joe likes stirring the pot here and then running back to VF to let everyone there know about it.

Niagara Falls is one of my most favourite places in Canada. I went there for my honeymoon.

Niagara Falls, Ontario is nice. Lots of tourist attractions including two great casinos. Niagara Falls New York has better wings though. ac_biggrin
