While Canada pays its terrorists 10 mill, Australia takes a quite different approach.

An Australian terrorist has had his citizenship revoked.

https://www.skynews.com.au/details/_5984140381001

This has considerable effect.

He cannot return to Australia. To procure a passport and nationality, he must apply to the country of his birth, Fiji...who almost certainly will reject his request.

So, when he is released from prison, he will immediately be deported...with nowhere to go. A sympathetic muslim nation may offer sanctuary and a passport, but to do so would imply a support for ISIS, which would lead to a backlash from the US and Europe.

THAT'S how you deal with these assholes.

How can a stateless person be deported?

They can't.

Back in the clink until they can claim statehood.

These lunatics are going to learn a harsh lesson...

Israel is moving in that direction too. The public mood is right now for getting tough on foreign thugs. We need to modify the Law of Return though and that won't happen soon.

It is a dangerous precedent to set regardless of the utility at the moment. The State can eventually use it to silence dissent.

Actually I agree with Australia’s remedy.

At the same time, I think anyone using dual citizenship as a means to fight in conflicts which a host nation is not involved in should have one of those passports revoked.

I have been critical in this & other forums of Canada, Australia, the UK & the USA allowing its citizens to go over & fight for the state of Israel. We don’t our citizens fighting for Russia, Iran or ISIS, so why should we allow them to have a dual allegiance like that with Israel.?

I know many people here & elsewhere may object to that position but fair is fair & should be applied to everyone equally.

Dual citizenship should never be used for violent or combative means, only for peaceful, business or family reunification purposes. Canadian citizens who fight for the state of Israel like ISIS should also have their citizenship revoked. Just give em a choice. If they sign up for military duty for Israel or some other military then don’t come back.

Thanks, Joe. I shall pass on your approval to our Government.
