One dead, several wounded in knife attack near Lyon

A man wielding a skewer and knife went on the rampage in the French city of Lyon on Saturday, leaving a 19-year-old man dead and at least eight others injured, including three critically.

A police source said the alleged perpetrator was an Afghan asylum-seeker, unknown previously to both the police and the intelligence services.

An eye-witness in Villeurbanne, a suburb of Lyon, described the attack as frenzied.

“There was a man at the 57 (bus stop) who started striking out with a knife in all directions,” said a young girl whose top was stained with blood.

“He managed to hit, to cut open one person’s stomach,” she said.

“He stabbed a guy in the head, he cut the ear of a lady and the lady was dying at the bus stop and no-one came to help,” she added, sobbing.

She eventually managed to get the woman on a bus, which closed its doors and drove away from the scene.

“There was blood everywhere,” she added.

Of the eight people wounded in the attack, three were in a critical condition, said the prosecutor’s office. Paramedics treated another 20 people at the scene for shock.

‘Deadly madness’

The mayor of Lyon Gerard Collomb, a former interior minister, visited the site of the attack but in comments to journalists would not be drawn on what had provoked it. The man who carried out the attack had acted quite suddenly, he said.

The mayor of Villeurbanne, Jean-Paul Bret, paid tribute to people at the scene and security staff at the nearby metro station who overpowered the suspect as he tried to make his escape.

Police arrested the suspected attacker and were holding him in custody on suspicion of murder and attempted murder, the Lyon prosecutor’s office told AFP.

The reasons for the attack were still not clear. The national anti-terrorism prosecutor’s office had been informed but had not taken charge of the case at this stage.

Reacting to the attack, Marine Le Pen, leader of the far-right National Rally, posted a tweet saying “the naivety and laxity of our migration policy seriously threatens the safety of the French people”.

A group representing the region’s mosques also issued a statement roundly condemning the killing and the “deadly madness that inhabits those who try to sow hatred and violence”.

Last May, a parcel bomb in front of a baker’s shop in central Lyon slightly injured 14 people.

The perpetrator, a young radicalised Algerian, who was arrested three days later, pledged allegiance to the Islamic State group, according to his confession.

Lyon, France’s third city, had until then remained untouched by the wave of jihadist attacks that have killed 251 people in France since 2015.

So, about 63 people a year are being killed by jihadists. A lot more are wounded. Is Islam worth it France.

The terrorist attacker has finally been named – Sultan Marmed Niazi

who witnesses claim said that he was doing it because “French people don’t read the quran.”

But officials claim they can’t seem to figure out his motive.

While in custody, the man said he was a Muslim and gave a "confused" statement, claiming he heard voices insulting God and giving him "the order to kill," the prosecutor added.

Reading this made my stomach turn.

ONE SICK COUPLE
IS bride recruited young women for jihadis

Osama bin Laden birthday cake. They called the rapper-turned-jihadi fanatic the “Josef Goebbels” of Islamic state. now, his enabling wife has been busted in Germany. Cops say her mobile phone held countless photos of kids wielding ak-47s — and an Osama bin Laden birthday cake.

German-tunisian Omaima abdi, 34, was arrested in Hamburg during a sophisticated police operation.

Is experts say abdi was a key member of the death cult’s propaganda machine darkly called the “mumsnet for jihadi brides.”

Her hate-packed phone fell into the hands of an arabicspeaking reporter.

among the contents were emails recruiting Western brides for jihadi brothers.

photos of one of Is’s most fanatical fighters were also on the phone.

according to the U.K. Sun, abdi married German rapper denis “deso dogg” Cuspert after her first husband was obliterated in an allied air raid in syria.

Her second husband blew his brains out as the walls caved in on the caliphate.

but before he was taken off the board, he orchestrated the videotaping and distribution of images of british hostages david Haines and alan Henning.

He also allegedly lured hundreds of young German muslims to join Is.

He told a German reporter he turned to Is because of racism in his homeland: “I grew up with racism. though my mother is German, some teachers back then would call me ‘negro’ and treat all muslim kids bad.”

bizarrely, since her return to Germany, abdi has been working as an event planner and interpreter, according to the Sunday Times.

It said abdi is also a central figure of the Free Our sisters in the U.K., which supports jailed female terrorists.

she was also active in trying to convert non-muslims.

This is not religious extremism, this is actually a positive move.

Indonesia moves closer to ending child marriage

Kuala Lumpur, malaysia — Indonesia moved closer to ending child marriage Friday after the government secured a key nod paving the way to raise the age for girls to wed in the world’s most populous muslim country by three years.

about one in every seven girls in Indonesia is married before the age of 18 and the country is among the 10 countries with the highest numbers of child brides, according to the un children’s agency, UNICEF.

the government said a parliamentary law committee has agreed to a proposal on raising the minimum marriage age for girls to 19 from the current 16 — a key step before it is put to a vote among lawmakers.

“It’s a decision that the Indonesian society has been waiting for to save our children from the practice of child marriage,” Women’s empowerment and Child protection minister yohana yembise said in a statement.

the reform has been pushed by lawmakers.

Hungary’s family minister slams Canada’s Trudeau, warns “globalism is the wrong way to go”

Globalism is the wrong path for nations to follow and must be resisted, said Hungary’s outspoken family minister, Katalin Novak.”

Novak made an example out of Canada’s Prime Minister Justin Trudeau:

“For example, in Canada, Justin Trudeau recently said that Canada will have the world’s first post-national state. What is a post-national state? What does that even mean?” she asked.

Canada’s Somali Immigration Minister, Ahmed Hussen, also vowed to “lead the charge” on the UN’s global migration pact. Meanwhile, the Trudeau government is in the process of deporting an ex-Muslim family who converted to Christianity and faces being murdered upon return.

Hungary, by contrast, has been unapologetic about its defense of its Christian heritage. Katalin Novak encouraged determination to resist globalism, and along with it, the Islamization of Hungary. This call was in line with the policies of her government. Hungarian Prime M“Hungarian Govt Family Minister: ‘Globalism Is a Bad Choice’, Slams Canada’s Trudeau,” by Thomas D. Williams, Breitbart, September 26, 2019:

ROME — Globalism is the wrong path for nations to follow and must be resisted, said Hungary’s outspoken family minister, Katalin Novak.

In an exclusive interview with Breitbart News in Rome on Wednesday, Ms. Novak, who is also vice president of Hungary’s ruling Fidesz party, insisted Hungarian opposition to globalism was part of the key to its success.

“Hungary represents an obstacle to the globalist project, where nations surrender their individual identity, their distinctive culture, and give in to an undefined, universalist path,” she said.

“Globalism is a bad choice,” Novak said. “Those who support globalism choose the wrong path.”

“For example, in Canada, Justin Trudeau recently said that Canada will have the world’s first post-national state. What is a post-national state? What does that even mean?” she asked.

Ms. Novak insisted that the nations of Europe and of the world need to rediscover their distinctive identities and cultures, which are a source of richness for their own people and for the world.

“We have our own history, our own characteristics as a nation, and that’s what makes Europe so rich,” she said. “Italians are not like Hungarians. Germans are not like Hungarians. Even Bavarians are not like Hessians or other Germans.”

“We have these differences that make us beautiful. We are different and we respect each other. We respect these differences and we don’t want to become alike,” she said.

“The same goes for relationships between men and women. We want to be equal but we don’t want to be the same.”

“The beauty of a relationship between a man and a woman is that we are different, and I think that goes for nations as well,” she added.

“That’s why this globalism, by which everything is homogenized and made the same, destroys many values,” she said…inister Viktor Orban has led the “populist” movement in Eastern Europe, specifically among the Visegrad group (Poland, Czech Republic, Slovakia, and Hungary). Orban adopted the Trump slogan, adapting it to “Make Hungary Great Again,” and has called Hungary “the last bastion against Islamisation of Europe.”

Hungary has been creating and enacting family-centered policies that promote marriage, childbirth and families with lots of children since 2010, the year Viktor Orbán became prime minister.

IDF downs terrorist drone along Gaza security fence

IDF troops spotted and downed a drone near the southern Gaza Strip security fence, the Israel Defense Forces reported on Thursday.

Last month, the IDF launched an airstrike hitting Palestinian terrorists behind an earlier drone

Drones are emerging as a new technological component of warfare. Israel has developed new ways to counter the threat to ensure its forces and civilians are protected.

In 2018, the Israeli news site Ynet reported that drones had dropped explosive devices onto Israeli homes in the south, a fact that it said has been hidden by the Israeli Army.

The report raised the fear that this might become a new method of attack in the next round of hostilities between Israel and Hamas.

Israel also features the danger of drone attack in the north from the terrorist group Hezbollah.

Islamic extremism is a growing problem in Indonesia.

Image
BANDA ACEH — An Indonesian man who worked for a clerical organization that advises a local government on Islamic law has been caned in public for adultery, an official said.

mukhlis bin muhammad, 46, a member of the aceh ulema Council (mpu), was caned 28 times thursday in a public park by a religious officer, the official said.

the woman he had the sexual relationship with was flogged, also in public, receiving 23 lashes.

the punishments took place in ultra-conservative aceh, the sole province in Indonesia — the world’s largest muslimmajority nation — that applies sharia law. It was granted autonomy in 2001.

Public floggings and canings — which many acehnese support — have become common there since they were introduced in 2005, and are administered for a range of offences, including theft and gambling.

the province outlawed homosexuality in 2014.

mpu advised the aceh government in drafting its current version of sharia.

muhammad’s role in the organization wasn’t disclosed.

Husaini Wahab, a senior official in aceh besar district, said canings were meant to serve as a reminder to locals to adhere to the Islamic criminal code.

“It doesn’t matter whether he is an ulema, an imam, or an ordinary citizen, the government does not discriminate,” he said, adding that muhammad could no longer belong to the mpu.

rights groups have called for public floggings and canings to be discontinued.

Papang Hidayat, a researcher with amnesty International, said they violated human rights.

“Showing consensual affection should not be criminalized,” he said.

I hope sharia law isn't adopted in other parts of Indonesia.

I have worked in Indonesia on two different occasions. Hell, I met the old lady when we worked together in Indonesia. Hijabs were not a common sight when Suharto was in power. They sure as hell are now.

A man accused of robbing an Edmonton jewelry store to fund Islamic State fighters in Syria has been extradited to the United States.

Abdullahi Ahmed Abdullahi was surrendered to U.S. authorities last month to face trial on terrorism charges, according to a news release from the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Southern District of California.

Abdullahi, a Canadian national, made his first appearance in U.S. federal court in San Diego Oct. 25.

“Today’s announcement should serve as a warning to those who have travelled, attempted to travel, or support those fighting on behalf of ISIS,” FBI Special Agent in Charge Scott Brunner said in the news release.

“The FBI remains steadfast in ensuring they face justice. I commend San Diego’s Joint Terrorism Task Force and our interagency and international partners for their committed work which resulted in Abdullahi returning to the United States to answer for the crimes he is accused of committing.”

The U.S. has charged Abdullahi, 34, with conspiracy to provide material support to terrorists and providing material support to terrorists. Each count carries a maximum penalty of 15 years in prison and a US$250,000 fine.

The charges have not been proven in court.

U.S. officials allege Abdullahi, a former San Diego resident, conspired with Canadian and U.S. citizens to provide aid to ISIS and followers wishing to travel overseas. Authorities allege one of the conspirators was Douglas Mccain, a former San Diego resident believed to be the first American to die fighting for ISIS. Prosecutors believe he died in Syria in August 2014 after entering the country through Turkey.

The U.S. indictment alleges

Abdullahi conspired with Douglas and others between August 2013 and November 2014 to provide personnel and cash to people engaged in terrorist activities in Syria.

It alleges Abdullahi facilitated travel of at least three Canadians and two Americans. Authorities believe those people have since been killed in the fighting.

The U.S. indictment alleges Abdullahi paid for some of that travel by robbing an Edmonton jewelry store on Jan. 9, 2014. He was eventually arrested in Fort Mcmurray and charged with a count of armed robbery with a firearm — a charge which the Alberta Crown’s office stayed on Oct. 18. A spokesperson said the Crown stayed the charge because there was no reasonable likelihood of conviction.

The U.S. indictment goes on to claim Abdullahi wired money to his U.S. contacts, including $3,100 to Douglas. U.S. officials allege those funds paid for Douglas and another person to travel to Turkey, where they slipped into Syria.

The officials allege Abdullahi also wired money to intermediaries in Gaziantep, Turkey — about 65 km north of the Syrian border — “for the purpose of supporting members of the conspiracy fighting and engaging in terrorist activity in Syria, including the killing, kidnapping, and maiming of persons.”

Canadian authorities arrested Abdullahi on Sept. 15, 2017, after a U.S. extradition request, which followed a grand jury decision to charge Abdullahi with the terrorism offences. He was held in custody in Canada and fought the extradition, but was ultimately surrendered to U.S. authorities Oct. 24.

According to the news release, the investigation involved five U.S. agencies, including the FBI, the Federal Air Marshal Service, the Department of Homeland Security and U.S. Border Patrol.

Palestinian Authority sends unaccounted billions to terror groups

Since 2011, the Palestinian Authority has given the Palestinian Liberation Organization over 7 billion shekels ($1.99 billion).

“Some of that money went directly to PLO member organizations, such as the PFLP, that the US, the EU, and Israel have designated as terrorist organizations,” Palestinian Media Watch reported last week.

Fundamentalist Islam is well established in South East Asia.

Yes, it is. While both big counties played sort of moderate for a while, both have moved very Fundamentalist of late shariah being just one resulting problem. .. Once could add Pak and Bangladesh to that list

Seems leave islam alone a while and it will pick up on the violent and supremacist passages and become a problem for their own people and for other counties

Many Indonesians and Malaysians went 1/2 way round the world to join i.S. for an outward example
