Naval Air Station Pensacola shooter was Saudi aviation student, investigators eye potential terror link

The gunman who opened fire Friday morning at Naval Air Station Pensacola in Florida, fatally shooting three people, has been identified as an aviation student from Saudi Arabia as investigators are looking into whether the attack is terrorism-related.

The gunman was confronted and taken out by a pair of responding officers. Two people were killed at the scene while a third victim died after being rushed to a local hospital. Seven others suffered injuries and are undergoing treatment, including the two officers, one of whom was shot in the arm and the other in the knee. Both are expected to survive.

Why is it that I would check it out expecting allah was involved before I knew it was a Saudi?

Prejudice without reason for it? ... I think that's not why. I think it's the sheer number of killings per capita .. and especially a certain type of killings whether infidels en masse type or inside family type (so much from 1% of population)

FBI taking lead on it. (Well, DUH!) Whether plot or simply his own feelings groomed by infidel hate from the koran, ... bottom line and indisputable is that an allah follower shot a large number of non believers with intention to kill them

They had to kill him before he killed more, so no direct info from him. A pair of Sheriff Deputies killed him - Shooter used handgun

It is time for a total shutdown of moo slims entering the United States until we can figure what the hell is going on.

America issued a visa to a Saudi Arabian aviation student without doing a thorough background check.

If there is no known radical background, it's impossible to know what is in the mind

Further - many just go all fundy ... or more specifically, the kranny chock full of hate for non believers takes them over

Six Saudi nationals were arrested near the naval base in Pensacola, Fla. for questioning where a Saudi gunman opened fire Friday, killing three before turning the gun on himself, a senior U.S. official told Fox News.

The suspects were taken into custody and are being questioned about the shooting, the source said.

Possibly simply protocol, possibly not

Former, now Senator Gov Scott: " There is no doubt this is terrorism in action" ... There are reports at least 3 of the 6 pulled in filmed it ... hmmm

I just saw an interview with Scott. A couple hundred foreign students are training there.

They must not be screening them because they are in the SA military.

Authorities investigating a deadly attack at a U.S. naval base in Florida are reportedly focused on finding several unaccounted for Saudi nationals linked to the shooting, as additional details have emerged about the shooter's movements in the weeks leading up to the rampage.

While officials have not publicly disclosed how many missing servicemen are out there, U.S. Northern Command (Northcom) has called for increased random security checks at all sites as authorities investigating the attack are still working to determine whether the shooting was an act of terrorism.

No determination of terrorism. :dash1:

One of the 3 deaths was an American citizen with the same first name as the shooter (Mo) and was one who gave location data to rescuers after he was hit

Unlike the Danforth muslimaniac who spared non whites ... this shooter sure was out to get ANY American ... Seems too long odds to be mere chance he killed this particular person (not many Mos in the US Air Force)... maybe he was target "because" he supported US ??

I didn't hear this. But, it makes sense. He was seen as a traitor to islam.

Shooter was 'infuriated' after instructor nicknamed him 'Porn Stash': report

He filed a complaint against one of his instructors earlier this year alleging that he had called him “Porn Stash” — a nickname that “infuriated” him, a report says.

The nickname is a reference to the stereotype that adult male film stars have mustaches. It was spelled "porn stash" as opposed to "porn 'stache" in the official complaint.

"stash stache" ... Cute play on words

Instructor's effort to apologize was rebuffed .. rather Alshamrani rejected that and instead talked with an office in the Navy that handles international student

One of the pilots said Navy brass denied their request to arm themselves on base.

Two pilots said the Saudi shooter had 10 minutes to carry out his deadly assault on defenseless Navy sailors at the “API” -- aviation pre-flight indoctrination -- building. The Naval Aviation Safety school is also located in the building.

The instructor pilots said the incentive to arm was obvious. “We need to protect not just the pilots, but our aircraft that are worth millions.”

One pilot called base security at NAS Pensacola and other Navy bases “mall cops,” because protection on the base has been outsourced to private security and many were “fat and out of shape.”

“I have zero confidence the guy I show my ID card to at the gate could save me,” one pilot added. Fox News spoke to three Navy instructor pilots Tuesday.

“Why are we cowering in our offices, it’s insane,” the officer added. "ARM US!!! "

One of the shooting victims was the captain of the U.S. Naval Academy rifle team, an “excellent marksman,” according to his brother.

“It’s so stupid that on a military base, the shooter was allowed to roam free for so long,” according to one instructor pilot. “In a gun fight, that’s an eternity.”

I thought there would be firearms everywhere on a military base.
