We've been metric since the early 70's.
I seem to remember an incident where you made a case about stating something in imperial units.
Now that I googled it.. A lot of australians think in imperial units even though the official system is metric.
The older amongst us still think and say in both.
I like the old system of imperial units better.
Except for very small measures like mechanical uses (size of screws/bolts) metric is somewhat difficult to understand and at times impractical. Ie 1 in equals 25.4 mm or 2.54 cm. Like wtf?!
It seems very abstact and difficult to understand that system measurement
I just think in meters, centimeters and millimeters.
Imperial doesnt have a smaller unit than an inch..
