Well, the new model Jeep Wrangler got a ONE star rating by ANCAP.



That's about the same rating as a shopping trolley with a jet pack fitted would get.



Skateboards are safer.

What reasons did they give for the low rating?

There were a number, but essentially it boiled down to poor design and engineering...for example, the front floor well, which is supposed to be able to withstand heavy impact, crumpled at low speed, which would lead to serious injury for the front  occupants.

2014, 30,000 Jeeps were sold in Oz.



Soon they gained a rep for unreliability, poor after sales support, and poor quality build.



Last year 8000 were sold.



This year they may go below 5000.



In 2 or 3 years they will be gone.
