My mum's private healthcare was charged over $5,000 for a vitamin B injection for her...



I showed the bill to another group who were incredulous.. Private health in OZ has nothing to do with medicare in OZ. It is very fooloish to think one system is better than another when they are BOTH equally as corrupt.

I always wondered why can't Canada be more like Asia and introduce private clinics/hospitals, can't really think of a disadvantage except for the middle/upper class can pay for faster services.  But at the same time lower taxes, maybe less abuse of milking the health care system and lower queue time in hospitals.

I do not categorise myself as anything, and I especially denigrate anything that smells of ideology...right or left. Too much wealth in too few hands is as bad as not enough wealth in everybody's hands.



Plutocrats do not warrant or deserve their massive wealth. They could reduce the price of their crap, or pay their people who make it more (or hire more people), but they care nothing for the health of society if it costs them a dollar.
