JOE

Yeah but BT, dont forget...you suffered from at least one major depressive episode in your life possibly requiring state funded medical help. And Herman's addicted to the bottle which will costvthe Canadian taxpayers a pretty penny. Goddamn socialists! And ta think You two required their help at some point in your lives!

As fer yerself, you wouldn't make it in the Capitalist world of my Grandfathers time a la 1929.

That was true free market capitalism when capitalists lived an died by the sword, eh?

No holds capitslism was a rough, brutal & barbaric time BT

No time fer bein depressed an feelin sorry fer yerself.

Ya either made it or ya didn't

Everyone was tough cuz theyvhad ta be.

It was survival of the fittest.

Heres how Patton woulda treated you n Herman BT:

">

Anyways I've survived a wild animal attack in my life which Ausdie Steve Irwin didn't.

I've survived cancer, the type that killed Terry Fox.

Im a product of 'Survival of the Fittest'.

I live and work a free enterprise job.

I get no government handouts.

And yet I don't love the Cspitalist system by any means tho Im actually tougher and can take its rigors better than you could.

Like I said I don't think you could survive in a true capitalist system BT.

Quote from: "Bricktop"There is, however, a big difference between Herman, myself and you.

We have lived successful and lucrative lives.

Herm has a farm, works half a year, and lives quite comfortably. He has a son...probably going to be a grandfather one day.

I live in a large house overlooking natural bushland, and have two other properties. I have three children and four grandchildren.

Now, what do YOU have Joe? Do you own your accommodation? Got kids?

You're a glorified Uber driver, dumbshit, and whilst you boast about your "normality" let me be clear; you display ALL the characteristics of one suffering severe self esteem issues and social dysfunctionality.

You are also illiterate, which suggests a low IQ, learning disability and perhaps a dash of ADD.

Those of us whom you childishly attempt to smear because of various health issues have risen above, Joe.

You, on the other hand, are going nowhere. Which, let's face it, is where you belong.

Joe this is the kind of thing that makes people not want to engage you in discussions..

You do it to IHJ too and he has been alcohol free for fourteen years..

This is certainly not about capitalism..

If you want a discussion about that read Seoul's post..

This is about you derailing yet another discussion with low blows about a poster's past..

That's fine for flame forums, but we are not a  flame forum..

You know that of course which is why you keep wrecking our discussions with flame forum cheap shots.

Factoid, the heaviest freight train of all time was in Australia, not Russia.

Factoid, train driving is pretty easy.

Here's another one, you and I wouldn't know anything about operating a freight train.

Not a fact. As I mentioned awhile ago, I got to drive a train. The rules were far more complex than actually operating it.

Anyone in Canada would find it had to believe that you would be allowed on railway property and impossible to believe you were allowed inside their equipment. Liability alone would rule that out.

This is Australia, mate. We're not candy arsed America or Canada. I did indeed drive a diesel train. It was piss easy because it's a piss weak job.

Learn to cope with it.

I call bullshit.

Provide verification. Name the train and line. I'll do the rest.

Again you demonstrate your ignorance and stupidity in equal amounts.

I have private health insurance, fool.

I pay for everything I have.

You are a parasitic blight on whatever society you infiltrate, and I am grateful that it is not Australian.

What I can say is that it wasn't an electric train and that it was in Australia.

I'm sorry I shouldn't do that Fashionista.

I'm just pointing out why I don't love the capitalist system like Bricktop does or identifies with.

Bricktop thinks he's a capitalist but doesn't really comprehend what the essence of true capitalism is.

As Dinky had previously pointed ot He had a nice taxpayer funded government job with benefits which he today is enjoying because of the largesse of the public purse. Thats more like socialism I believe. Yet he and others constantly trash socialism.

In a true capitalist world theres no government support. Its dog eat dog.

if ya don't make it, ya don't survive. There's no time for anyone who suffers a personal/emotional setback in life. Nah, thats fer weaklings. Thats socialism, man! Kind of like the scene in the dirty dozen:

Yeah that's capitalism in its purest form

I say it's bullshit too. I am certain it is. Canada, Australia, Israel do not let people off the street play engineer with millions of dollars worth of potentially dangerous heavy equipment.

Tbh at least capitalism can be played like a game only if people got what it takes and toughen up, but communism/socialism is really people wanting to be spoon fed and have their ass wiped by others.  Though I'm no fan of anything over 90% capitalism, maybe something like the US would be the best system atm, not Hong Kong despite how attractive the tax rate is.  ac_unsure

Although they have overlapping features, capitalism and free enterprise are not synonymous.

You'd be surprised at the number of things I've had a go at which I've not been officially permitted to or even known to have done.

In this case it was because a good friend got clearance for me to do a ride along and he and his coworker were comfortable with letting me control the thing provided I do exactly as instructed and never mention their names or organisation (for obvious reasons).

I can't remember how long I drove the thing before it bored me to tears. Maybe a couple hours. Driving it was pretty simple in itself. Knowledge of that stretch and the systems onboard were more involved and I leaned on them to tell me when to back off or increase speeds on stuff like bends, crossings, straights, and built up areas.

I poke fun at IHJ partly because it winds him up when I point out that driving a bus or AB trailer takes more skill and they don't have training wheels (tracks) and because he can't fathom how I know this to be true from a brief personal experience his mind and ego won't process.

If there is someone here who works at mining, I went for a joy ride in one of these too, many years ago. It was brand spanking new and after going up then down a mountainside, I couldn't find reverse and kept losing maneuvering room with every attempt at backing away from a huge ledge. I did eventually get reverse to engage but not before nearly shtting myself.

You probably have did some cool things in Australia and the US. But, getting inside the cab of a locomotive was not one of them.

Sorry, seoulbro, but you are incorrect. In the cab AND driving it.
