Incarceration is not a right or left issue like defunding sanctuary cities.

A brief search indicated But after decades of explosive growth, there are signs that the country is turning the corner on mass incarceration.

The prison population decreased in 2016 for the third straight year, and prison reform, in general, is one of the rare issues with bipartisan support on Capitol Hill and in the White House.

Most people incarcerated in the USA are held at the state and local level, so federal reform can only change so much.

I also found this.

America's incarceration rate is at a two-decade low

http://www.pewresearch.org/fact-tank/2018/05/02/americas-incarceration-rate-is-at-a-two-decade-low/">http://www.pewresearch.org/fact-tank/20 ... ecade-low/">http://www.pewresearch.org/fact-tank/2018/05/02/americas-incarceration-rate-is-at-a-two-decade-low/

Using the virgin's failed logic, New Zealand is to the right of Hungary and Turkey. And Sweden is to the right of Japan and India.

Anyway, the entire penal system is reliant on unionized labour. A traditional base of the left.

Not to mention leftist-communist countries like The Soviet union, used to put all kinds of people in prison.  Joe fails again. :negative:

BTW I'm glad that the US puts criminals in prison, that's where they belong.  I can't help wonder if Brazil and South Africa put more people on prisons if their citizens would be safer.

As you and Seoul said, incarceration rates are not indicative of a left-right divide.

I have to wonder if Joe has a little attention whore scoreboard next to his computer, so he can ring himself up a point for every useless troll post he puts out there that gets attention.  Virgins gotta have fun somehow I guess. Oh well.

I'd meet them everywhere, at the bus stop, some who just got outta prison.

Guys under house arrest with flashing ankle bracelets

Prison has become America's social welfare/slave labor system

Whether theyre Right or wrong, here's ta all the Inmates in America's prisons, Lump.

The old virgin derails another discussion. It must be slow at the spic forum.

Well they have something to do with it Fashionista.

Because its folks on the Republican Right who always advocate more funding for prisons while denying mothers such as yourself maternity leave and state funded healthcare. And many women who are single moms living on minimum wage are affected because its the Right wing in America who are against increasing it & support cutting social welfare programs for them.

And there is a political right in America just like theres a left there too

Its the right who ve got the power though

The US in both parties are moving away from incarceration. And most lock ups are at the local and state level. Besides, who works in penal system? Unionized civil servants. Not exactly a right wing voting block.

It's indisputable the US like Canada only has one ideology and It's proggy. You either don't know what right wing and socialist are or more likely it's slow today at the spic forum.

Be glad ya live in Canada IHJ.

Cuz there's help for recovering alcoholics such as yourself in Canada.

In the States not so much. Heck in the states you woulda ended up ln the streets or dead, IHJ.

I'm glad the medicare and our generous social welfare system helped you IHJ.

Me thinks someone as fragile as yourself couldnt survive in America IHJ.

Why is Joe allowed to use PI (albeit volunteered PI) continuously to attack people instead of countering their posts? (former drinker, convict etc etc etc etc)

It has become constant of late and is negative .. in fact destructive to this forum .. or any forum for that matter

Yes, it takes a lowlife to do that, and of course we all know he is a lowlife ... but why do we have to view his  constant lowlife antics and allow him to hurt the credibility of the forum?

Putting him on "Ignore" itself is not effective because his negativity appears in quotes.

Newer prospects, unaware that he is unique in his lowlife tactics, judge the forum as lowlife,  and don't return.

Well cc, ya might ask yerself why others are allowed to attack me.

This isn't exactly the most civil or welcoming forum

And you oughta ask yourself why so relatively few women  post here.

It seems to be a forum full of middle aged men who get their jollies running them down

But Im tough, so I expect others who dish it out to be able to take it as well.

Im a cancer survivor and survived an attack by a wild bear.

Even Steve Irwin &Terry Fox didn't survive those obstacles

But i did. Im strong eh?

Anyways all these overgrown babies here who go running back to Momma Fashionista under her skirt are cowards if they seek her protection

This is how Patton treated cowards and sissies:

Some of the cowardly in this forum could learn from that example.
