Today's GDP data allows for a full Canada and US comparison. Here's GDP per person, in US dollars adjusted for price level differences.



Highest in NY. Highest in Canada is Alberta (at 16th). Lowest is PEI. Lowest in US is Mississippi.

I miss those times.

Harper and Trump supported letting people keep more of their own money and reduced job suffocating regulations while Obama and Justine did the opposite. We see from this graph that Trump's way, not Justine's is the correct way.

Trump has made the US more competitive than Canada. Trudeau won't even entertain the idea of slashing regulations and simplifying the tax code to keep pace with our biggest trading partner. Hence, incomes in Canada are flat.

I've seen drilling crews stay in Estevan, Saskatchewan and cross the border each day because there are no rooms available in Williston.
