So, are all coronavirus patients in the USA being prescribed hydroxychloroquine now?



We could make the coronavirus irrelevant if we treat all patients with it.

I hit the grocery store early this morning, WalMart. Was surprised to see food on all the shelves. Its not the usual stuff, its like Family size stuff, and more of the stuff that usually isnt eaten, but the shelves were full. No TP though. PB real low too. No cleaning products.

We are locking down our whole state and even areas/zones are locked down so I cannot visit the countryside towns... WOW... looks like bird shots from me from Serpentine Dam will be infrequent.

The stream of COVID-19 cases in WA has slowed to a trickle in recent days, but WA Health Minister Roger Cook has made it clear the fight is not over — it is just beginning.



In recent weeks it had become almost routine for Mr Cook to announce between 20 to 30 new WA cases each day, but this week the numbers fell.



There were 17 recorded on Monday, outside of cruise ship passengers, and just 9 on Tuesday.

The decline has been attributed to the strict border controls and social distancing measures now enforced in WA.

In a study published Thursday in EBioMedicine, scientists say they have developed a COVID-19 vaccine that can be pushed out quickly that it will "significantly impact the spread of the disease."



The scientists produced a vaccine that will be administered via a patch the size of a fingertip. The patch contains 400 "microneedles" made of sugar and protein pieces.



The patch is applied much like a stick-on bandage with the needles dissolving into the skin.



The vaccine they produced was tested on mice and it contained enough antibodies the scientists feel will successfully reverse the novel coronavirus.



The researchers are applying for approval from the U.S. Food and Drug Administration, with hopes of starting human trials in a few months.



In a media release, researchers noted the vaccine is "highly scalable" for widespread use.



"For most vaccines, you don't need to address scalability to begin with," Gambotto noted. "But when you try to develop a vaccine quickly against a pandemic, that's the first requirement."

Israeli scientists: Coronavirus vaccine to be tested on humans by June 1

MIGAL and IIBR are both testing potential COVID-19 vaccinations on mammals



A team of Israeli researchers says that they are days away from completing the production of the active component of a coronavirus vaccine that could be tested on humans as early as June 1.



In late February, MIGAL (The Galilee Research Institute) committed to completing production of its vaccine within three weeks and having it on the market in 90 days. Katz said they were slightly delayed because it took longer than expected to receive the genetic construct that they ordered from China due to the airways being closed and it having to be rerouted.
