Sanofi's COVID-19 vaccine sees up to 100% efficacy in latest trial



An experimental COVID-19 vaccine developed by Sanofi and GlaxoSmithKline showed a robust immune response in early-stage clinical trial results, enabling them to move to a late-stage study, the French drugmaker said on Monday.





Sanofi and Britain's GSK said a global Phase III trial would start in the coming weeks and involve more than 35,000 adults, with the hope of seeing the vaccine approved by the fourth quarter after having initially targeted the first half of this year before a setback.

Canada's vaccination effort against COVID-19 has pulled even with the United States in one of the key markers in the race to herd immunity and is closing in fast on a status as one of the top 10 most vaccinated countries in the world.

The talking heads have already admitted that they can't keep up with variants and there could be up to 4 shots per year.



There is no "immunity" for any of these injections. They don't prevent infection or transmission... only the severity of symptoms.

Technically July 15 .. but implications are now that they will speed up second shot somewhat .. in fact Bonnie said such was likely last week as supplies are increasing .. especially for Pfizer
