My son is back to learning online.

1,205 & 3 here. We are not being given # of daily variants. I may need to enter a row for total variants from the variant site to know daily

That's sad that your son cannot go to school

Today Ontario is up again ... it is out of control  .. 4,815 cases today & 7,200 more cases this week than the previous week which was very bad in itself

It had increased cases every week for 5 weeks now

700 people being treated in Ontario intensive care units. So sad  .. and so unnecessary if we had a real Prime Minister to get us vaccines

Quebec is much lower in new cases per cap, but has always had (and still has) an exceptionally high  death / case rate .. today at 3.23%  deaths per case rate

Ontario 1.88%

Alberta, always low is at  1.22

BC has kept coming down from very high initially and is today at 1.32

Meanwhile heavily vaccinated UK remains around 2500 cases / day .. for comparison, next door France is 36,442 today

We are not good, but not as high as you guys  .. our today  7 day average is a virtual tie with a week ago - yours is up 173

The bad news for us is  that 65% of cases are variants in a virtual ties between B.1.1.7 (UK) and Pi (Brazil) .. and 70 per cent in the Vancouver Coastal Health region (mainly PI I think)

Total Variant % does not go down .. they only rise and cause more to become infected

As BC does not report on weekends, our numbers have fallen "some" to

Today 1,000

Sun  933

Sat 1,027

A total of 271 below last weeks average day cases .. Not a lot of difference, but "maybe" a trend downward?

8 deaths for those 3 days is below last weeks average but  one a child 2 years old who did have some issues not fatal in character. Covid was the  cause of death

98,069 doses of all vaccines delivered over the weekend

Also, they now better understand the clotting and have steps and treatments in place - Risk of clots among those susceptible is several times greater than from the vaccine itself .. as it is among the general population

Ontario - 4,447 today - 152 more than last week's average day
