Alberta reported 1592 cases today and five deaths.

Cases went from about 75 a day to 250-300 a day in Manitoba. That is low compared to Alberta and Ontario, but it is big increase.

Alberta reported 1,437 new cases of COVID-19 on Sunday, as well as three additional deaths.

That is 1/6th what we get..

Accounting for population difference, we're getting double the cases.

I log and total by the week ending on Fridays for all places I track via spreadsheet .. pre-weekend as we get no data on weekends like you guys do

For 1st 3 days of this new  week staring Sat you guys are down 183 cases vs. last weeks average day

We are down 371 for that period vs. last weeks average day.

While neither is spectacular jump up and cheer stuff, at least we are both trending downward some

Our cases today were 763 & mid 800s for Sat & Sun

One death from care homes over that 3 days (so with visiting reopened a lot that tells the vaccine story - Sadly, a small few refused vaccine or their personal representative refused it for them, or doc figured too ill to have it .. so that keeps care homes potentially a danger but nothing like before vaccine)

At the same time several 90s & 80s living at home died  .. it would be interesting to know how these people are being infected .. formal helpers? .. family? or what?

After a less than 2 year old dying of covid  last week, coroner formalized that a baby had died of covid a few months ago

I still believe the Alberta government will announce more restrictions.

They might. Numbers are still very high & hospitals are scrambling to keep up

The number of new infections aren't falling in Alberta.....1539 cases today.

We are coming down slowly. 525 less cases when placed against last weeks average day with 799 cases & 0 deaths today

While slowly coming down, Alta is down 214 less cases when placed against last weeks average day

Using that criteria, Canada as a whole is down just over 3,000 cases as per today, mainly as ON is slowing down some

Alberta is the outlier..

Calgary and Edmonton now have all children from grades seven through twelve studying online....still cases aren't falling.
