Say, that "we can now cross border for short trips without test is not done yet - it has to be essential goods & reason for it or $5,000 fine

I hope they get it to where day trips are possible (thot they already had but not so)

I didn't know it was only for essential goods..



Visiting family should be considered essential..

Yes, easier spreadibility  of B.1.1.529 variant is a concern .. and it is rapidly creating co-variants



Early reports (and there is still much to learn) indicate less severe symptoms, a saving grace it proven out



SA is very angry at UK for stopping travel with them .. but often hard hit UK is being careful, having been hit hard by southern hemisphere variants





Despite many cases for a while now, UK remains very good in the death / case rate - After recent and today's high numbers, the rate is 0.37%  ...  (1 in 269 cases) averaged over past 10 weeks .. slowly gaining on  # 1 Israel



Seems to me that while AZ is not as good on short range protection, it appears to excel in both longevity + very strong in diminished symptoms



Germany, usually low has gone very high in cases last while
