Alberta's highly-controversial proof-of-vaccination system expires as the clock strikes midnight Wednesday..

"We'll never be able to do a full accounting of the extent of the pain and hardship that restrictions have caused," Kenney said.

The premier added that many countries, states, and provinces are also removing restrictions as Omicron case numbers fade.

Rules on closing times, alcohol service times, table capacity in restaurants, and interactive activities remain in place.

Capacity limits on many venues expire at midnight except for facilities with a capacity of 500-1,000, which will be capped at 500. Larger facilities with a capacity of more than 1,000 will still be limited to 50 per cent.

A provincial work-from-home order will expire on March 1, along with the provincial mask mandate and capacity limits for all venues. All limits on social gatherings and cohorting rules in schools will be removed at the same time.

The province still has not determined a date for removing COVID-19 rules in continuing care homes, and it's still not decided when mandatory isolation requirements will become recommendations only.

Today From BC - Improving conditions have already led some other provinces to announce plans to lift proof-of-vaccination requirements. B.C. has not followed suit – the vaccine card system is currently scheduled to remain in place until the end of June – but Premier John Horgan has hinted that changes to the province's restrictions could be coming.

On Tuesday, Horgan stressed that those decisions will be made based on public health advice, and not pressure from protesters.

"With respect to other jurisdictions, everybody's addressed this in a different way," he added. "I'll put our record up against all the other provinces in the country."

Typical NDP response. Ryan Meili said the shit here. People have had enough of this pandemic shit. Time to move on and live with it.

Rachek Notley is saying the same thing..

But, she lets public sector unions do her thinking and they have consistenly opposed all lifting of restrictions.

Nothead is ignoring the science. Vaccinations have been galt for 2 months. Infections were never higher with between 85 and 90% of the population vaxxed. The virus has changed and so must the response.

The NDP opposition in Ontario wants indefinite restrictions too. Just like their federal cousins they have a freedom phobia.

Alberta has reported 1,684 new cases today, along with 10 additional deaths..

Edmonton is exploring ways to keep a vaccine passport program going within the city's jurisdiction..

Ontario is not doing away with vaccine passports and restrictions like other provinces, saying instead it will keep them in place for now.

CEO says they're creating jabs on "lab" viruses.... not actual ones...

Wtf?

Can't they isolate the virus by itself? What are they using in their labs? Predictive supercomputers which severely trail every variant by 3-6 months, so a new jab is needed after the fact?

And they wonder why the truck NOBODY trusts these fuckwits anymore. They're literally creating a new technology to combat unknowns they are unable to measure to any real degree.
Blahhhhhh...
