No deaths on it - maybe on weekly

BC Today was 216 known cases - deaths for last week will be reported on new weekly report tomorrow

Cases are rising again in Alberta..



I'm waiting to see where hospitalizations and the number of people in ICU are at.

That's true, it could be two weeks before we see a rise in hospitalizations and the number of people in ICU.

Yes, but for a week ago Tues. (a week ago +)  April 5 up to past Monday April 11, - making reporting mainly for previous week



Ours is even worse, ours given out today will  from  a week ago Sunday up to only last Saturday



Hospitalizations, a good overall indicator are past history as are only given in weekly reports referred to above



Reporting for several provinces has not only gone to weekly, but for past history / yesterday's news -



Of little value in assisting in making decisions for today & next week for most of Canada



ON & QB so far maintain daily counts but ON head Docs are  saying like "100,000 / day" currently which is ludicrous

Yes. I realize that - All I was getting at is if you scroll down you  to ""Daily new cases and completed tests" you can get another link of daily + other stuff .... you can also get "area" data within it somewhere



I can't find that sort of depth for here ... I just wish all of our data was more current



They all have really let public down. No more even close to current data to guide decisions





Our weekly known total cases this week is 1,770 ..  .. previous week was 1,705 .. 364 infected in hospital

Hospitals across Canada are facing a resurgence of patients with COVID-19 that some health officials say will likely continue for another month.



The latest data from the Public Health Agency of Canada shows hospitalizations due to COVID-19 rose about 18 per cent across Canada between April 4 and April 11 — to 6,020 people needing beds.



In the last week, the Prairies, Ontario, Quebec and Nova Scotia have all reported an increase in hospitalizations from the virus and intensive care admissions have also inched slightly upwards in some provinces.



Latest data shows there were 1,053 hospitalizations in Alberta, 403 in Saskatchewan, 158 in Manitoba, 1,301 in Ontario, 2,220 in Quebec and 59 in Nova Scotia.



Dr. Eddy Lang, department head of emergency medicine in Calgary for Alberta Health Services, said the province is in its sixth wave of the pandemic fuelled by the BA. 2 sub-variant of Omicron, but it's not as dramatic as the original Omicron surge.
