Ours, Sask & Man  don't come out till tomorrow and ours are from days back, so stale on first day

It adds up to 2737 according to the Alberta government website.

May 18: 472 cases

May 19: 493 cases

May 20: 368 cases

May 21: 292 cases

May 22: 235 cases

May 23: 329 cases

The trend is continuing in the right direction in Alberta.



There were 2,348 Cases reported over 7 days..



There are 931 In hospital and 29 In intensive care.

BC  1,163 "known" cases for last reported week .. down another 15% from previous week





This monkeypox thing does spread -  77 in Canada now, 71 in Quebec, 5 in Ontario and 1 in Alberta.



Globally, there are 550 confirmed cases in 30 non-endemic countries where the virus has not usually been found.



thus far the cases in Canada have not spread beyond a specific community where the first cases were identified - originating in a Montreal spa

The number of people in hospital is 816 and twenty four people are in ICU.

Dr. Theresa Tam, Canada's chief public health officer, who was thrust into the spotlight when COVID hit, and who has faced criticism for her response to the pandemic, has been reappointed to another three-year term that also comes with a pay raise.



According to an order-in-council as first reported by Blacklock's Reporter , Tam's maximum pay has increased to $324,000 a year, up from $265,000 for her previous salary.
