Actually, the cheap gas has nothing to do with China.

That's a battle between the Arabs and the Russians, who've then decided to dump a bunch of cheap oil into the marketplace.

Already started just before the World got the Shanghai Shivers...

caskur

LoL @ Shanghai Shivers...

We have petrol stations called "Liberty"... as well.

Really?  Christ, that's more American than America itself, and I don't even think they have 'Liberty' gas (petrol) stations!

We have a feature called FUEL WATCH which tells us where the cheapest Petrol is everyday... we've had it for decades. Now our Eastern States are copying us

Fuel Watch metro average price atm is $1.01

Still 99.9 here.

BC...  Not a Province for the poor.

Than it must be more in Vancouver.

What a dumb, useless job..

You prefer self serve Odi?

Yes.. And I dont need some1 to hold the hamburger while I eat it either..

I do.  If someone can't fuel up their own car, they shouldn't be driving!

On a related note, Richmond and Coquitlam both have bylaws in place stating that an attendant must pump your gas for you, although that requirement is loosely observed.  It stems back to decades ago, about preserving jobs, and has nothing to do with safety.

Oddly enough, the Taghum Shell here in the Koots is still full serve.  I was taken by surprise when they started filling up my truck!  I think that's the only one in the entire region that does that here though...

The old pumps... You had to pump the gas into a glass tank on top of the pump..

Just so you know how much you are putting in.

I understand why there was a need for the pump supervisor..

Odinson

These things..

They have $0.10 more to pay than I do now (GVRD taxes), but I think they're still around the dollar mark perhaps?

SC let's me ride his bus for free.

Vancouver

I like Esso. They take PC Optimum points which I collect. Some of them have a touchless carwash. My car is nice and clean.

The lack of freeways in vancouver is ridiculous how do you get from hwy 99 to hwy 1 without spending an hour in city street traffic? At least calgary and Edmonton have ring roads

Odinson

Imagine how easy it would be to move from one town to the next if we had big, straight roads..

I mean well lit, 3 lane each direction roads that dont have any curves..

Our roads are primitive dirt roads when compared to the central-european road-network.

When I become the president, I will build one big road through the entire length of Finland...

And then have all cities and people moved on the side of the road.
