Police Arrest Black Lives Matter Activist Who Sucker Punched Trump Supporter



Police in Washington on Sunday said they'd arrested a man caught on camera assaulting another man after a massive rally held by President Donald Trump supporters.



Kenneth Wayne Deberry, 39, was arrested on charges including aggravated assault and being a felon in possession of a firearm.



Deberry struck the victim, rendering him unconscious, according to video footage of the incident and a police incident summary.



Video of the assault showed a group of anti-Trump demonstrators following and harassing Trump supporters who had attended a rally in D.C.



One of the supporters then shoved a man who was shouting through a megaphone. The supporter was quickly surrounded and began exchanging blows with various people.



Then a man holding a "Trump/Pence Out Now" sign approached from behind and sucker punched the man, who fell to the pavement as someone shouted "there you go!" Another anti-Trump person then kicked the man's head as he laid inert before several people stole the man's phone and other possessions.

Ivanka Trump Condemns 'Near Total Silence' on Violence Against Trump Supporters



vanka Trump criticized the media for not widely reporting on violence against President Donald Trump's supporters in Washington over the weekend.



"The media's near total silence about the physical violence being perpetrated against conservatives is shameful & dangerous," the first daughter wrote on Twitter. "Just [imagine] the outrage and indignation if this went the other way."



Video footage showed Trump supporters being attacked by apparent left-wing supporters, including one incident where a man was punched from behind by a black male holding an anti-Trump sign before other people stomped on his head. Police arrested about 20 people, and local reporters described clashes between Trump supporters and Black Lives Matter or leftist agitators.



Ivanka Trump added, "Violence is never the answer and instigators must be condemned and prosecuted."



Donald Trump Jr. echoed his sister's statement.



"The media's silence on the violence against Trump supporters is deafening. After four years of calling them Nazis, at this point they might as well just dox them all or add the to AOC's lists for the Gulags. They are complicit in the violence. They are the worst of the worst," he wrote.



Sen. Josh Hawley (R-Mo.) asked why Democratic candidate Joe Biden hasn't condemned the violence against Trump supporters.



"When is Joe Biden, Mr. Unity, going to condemn this violence," he wrote, referring to calls for unity from the former vice president.

Widespread Destruction in Portland, No Arrests Made: Police



A group inflicted "wide spread destruction" to businesses in Portland, police in Oregon's largest city said Saturday.



Two separate groups gathered in Portland on Friday night. One of several dozen, wearing all black, donning helmets, and carrying umbrellas—all hallmarks of the far-left Antifa network—walked to the Mexican consulate in the downtown area and vandalized the building, spray painting graffiti on the outside.



The group then went to the new Multnomah County Courthouse nearby and vandalized that.



"Officers responded to the scene and were able to interrupt the vandalism. Units remained at the location as high visibility. Because of the high visibility, the group dispersed from the area without creating any more damage. No arrests were made," the Portland Police Bureau said in an incident summary.



Around the same time, a group of nearly 100 gathered in Northeast Portland. Members also wore all black and had masks and helmets on.



Officers learned of the destruction the second group was causing when a 911 caller told a dispatcher that the group was destroying a Chase bank. The group reportedly rammed a shopping cart into the glass door.



"A cleaning crew who was inside the bank was scared as the group began to break windows to the property," police said. Another call came in from workers inside a grocery store in the vicinity. "The workers reported members of the group were shattering windows and spray painting the building," according to the police.



When officers arrived in the area, they found businesses with shattered windows and spray paint. One business appeared to have been destroyed when rioters hurled a motorized scooter through the glass windows.



Photographs showed damaged buildings, along with pro-transgender and Antifa graffiti. According to one witness, the group was chanting "black lives matter" while marching.



Stickers handed out included one that showed a person in a Ku Klux Klan hanging from a tree. The outfit had emblazoned on it "PPB," which stands for the Portland Police Bureau.



Twenty-four businesses were vandalized on Northeast Sandy Boulevard, police said. The damage was done in 10 minutes with officers tied up downtown, a videographer on the scene said in a tweet he later deleted.



The crimes weren't recorded at the behest of organizers, the abolitionist collective Safe PDX said on Twitter.

A parked and unoccupied Portland police cruiser caught fire on Saturday and officers suspect foul play, authorities said.





Law enforcement and the local fire department responded to a call about the blaze in a city vehicle lot at around 8 p.m., which authorities promptly extinguished, according to a press release. Investigators suspected arson, and photos released by the Portland Police Bureau (PPB) show extensive damage to the interior of the vehicle.
