Understood .. still long accepted practice here has been that reasons of bail are not only given, but given at moment of / a part of  granting of bail

System, as you explained, is a setup for abuse / playing god / not following accepted convention

A 41-year-old Detroit man accused of setting fire to his girlfriend, who is pregnant with twins, has bonded out of a Wayne County jail for just $5,000 after posting ten percent of his $50,000 bond, according to a report.

"Police said Devonne Marsh got into an argument with his girlfriend at their Detroit home off Packard and Outer Drive last Friday, Jan. 14, and he doused her with lighter fluid before setting her on fire," WJBK reports.

officers said they found the 26-year-old pregnant woman, with severe burns to her legs and stomach, lying on a bed in the basement of the home. Officers said she could hardly move.

The 26-year-old is in critical condition with burns to 60 percent of her body, and "It's not yet known if her babies will survive," WJBK reports. She is six and a half months pregnant

He should be held up to and including his trial. The judge can deduct his time spent from his sentence.

QuoteBlack Lives Matter activists are calling for the resignation of the strategic advisor for Los Angeles Mayor Eric Garcetti over leaked emails that showed her irritation with the organization and with "lefties."

The private emails from 2016 and 2017 were obtained by Vice News and contained messages from Ana Guerrero, who worked as chief of staff in the mayor's office at the time.

"I am getting annoyed with all the lefties ... Not as annoyed as BLM but getting close," Guerrero reportedly wrote in one email.

Even gang rivalries often start over a minor dispute

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Michael Lofton was murdered for breaking up a dice game. His death set off a cycle of retaliation, yet Lofton's killer was never arrested, his older brother, Larry McMichael, told Fox News.

"God be told, I lost him when he was 18," McMichael said. "He broke the crap game up and they killed him."

Murders in the nation's capital most frequently stem from a petty dispute or insult, according to criminologists and local officials.

"A lot of these just petty arguments – just not being able to process anger – is leading to a lot of the homicides that we've been seeing," D.C. Witness Editor-in-Chief Trina Antoine told Fox News.

She said most homicides in Washington were between "people who know each other" getting into a confrontation that they "didn't think they could get beyond without a gun."

While rivalries between gangs or crews may drive killings, the underlying disputes frequently stem from petty insults, criminologists and local officials told Fox News. These can often grow from disagreements over drugs or money or women, or sometimes even from a rapper in one crew disparaging another.

"These conflicts ... can occur for surprisingly small things," Thomas Abt, a senior fellow with the Council on Criminal Justice, told Fox News. "An insult on social media, a dispute over a girlfriend and so on."

New Orleans residents fed up with carjacking, violent crime surge: 'Beginning of the end'

"They arrest people, and they are released, and the same thing happens again," he continued. "It's the absence of accountability that I believe to be the biggest problem. It's very disturbing what's happening because I think it's the beginning of the end for a really fine city if this keeps up."

It occurred the same day New Orleans Police Superintendent Shaun Ferguson faced hours of questioning about his strategy to address an uptick in shootings and carjackings in The Big Easy during City Council's first regular session since five new members have been elected, The New Orleans Advocate reported.

New Orleans City Council President Helena Moreno pointed out that carjackings and robberies spiked almost immediately in 2020 after Ferguson, an appointee of Mayor LaToya Cantrell, moved to disband its Tactical Intelligence Gathering and Enforcement Response, or TIGER, units.

"I'm terrified to walk or drive the streets in my Uptown neighborhood, or anywhere," resident Christine Whitten told City Council. "I don't feel I have a choice but to leave. Something must be done, now."

Another speaker, Oliver Fletcher III, argued that neighborhoods will resort to hiring private security.

"As this city gets more gentrified, more neighborhoods will take this route of private self-policing," he said during Thursday's meeting. "People shouldn't feel like they have to hire private security. This whole situation will be a bad trickle-down effect and lead to something."

If its not criminal behavior...

Then its relationship drama.

Blacks are the best content providers.

And its funny because its usually Shaneequa who owns the house and kicks out cheating Tyrone.

Sometimes Tyrone catches Shaneequa cheating but cant do shit about it because he would be homeless after that.

Black Americans have started the racially motivated civil war.

Allied with and openly fueled by a great many 'woke" whites  ... blacks are not alone in it & I would argue woke whites every bit as much started it

Further, had they not fueled it, the whole thing would not be where it is today
