I have a 4' X 8' raised garden bed...

...in my backyard.  It came with the house.  I could rip out the ties, level it, and seed it to simply blend it in with the grass, or I could utilize it and plant something in it.  At 4' X 8', it's not a large area, but the soil looks good enough to grow something in.



Answer me, my fellow forum members!  What should I grow in there?

Cotton! Then you can hire some Negroes to pick it on a hot summer day while you watch from your porch sipping mint juleps. Do you have a white suit and wide brimmed hat?

The problem is, is that they expect to be paid nowadays...  



Ended up picking up a small variety of seeds that produce something edible (peppers, chives, etc).

carrots, romaine lettuce, tomatoes, garlic, peas, beans, peppers, and so on.
