Wait a minute

Mel went to that extreme and then had the nerve to call the cops?

I can't with the internet today

He " threatened to " call the cops. I don't know whether he did call or not. If he actually did they obviously wrote him off as an idiot saying "Mossad is after me" as  I didn't get raided by the swat team

I understand. After all he truly believes I'm a jew and so I did tell him I'd  send my "Mossad Boys" to  err "visit" him

Vegemite is healthier than Canadian pork spread

I've never tried that.

Marmite, too, is awesome.

That's the one I've seen. That is probably the one I will buy.

What do you put vegemite on? Toast?

Don't understand why anyone would eat that.  It sounds disgusting.

I'm originally an Aussie & I gag thinking about it   :yuk:

Parents used it here in Canada on toast or bread or crackers when I was a kid

I had to leave the room

I've seen it but never had it...It doesn't look appetizing but is it really that bad?

The uninitiated usually make the mistake of putting too much on the first time they try it, then never try it again.

It's very salty and pungent. Only use a small trace on buttered toast until you can work up to smearing all over.

I'm tempted to buy a small container of it.

So you can develop an eating disorder?

I don't believe in "acquired taste", if the thing is just nasty, it's not worth the torture.

Frood

Beer, coffee, bitter melon, Dorian and a whole slew of other things are acquired tastes.... kimchi...sauerkraut... et cetera
Blahhhhhh...

I always liked how coffee smelled, so tasting it wasn't a problem.

I don't eat kimchi, sauerkraut, and other foods that didn't taste good when I had them.

But you weren't most likely swilling double express shots right off the bat...

...most people start off with drip and a bit of cream and sugar.

My little one likes the taste of iced coffees but gags on the rest.

She now likes large amounts of mustard and will eat raw oysters...

Not at first though...

Promite is marginally better than Vegemite... Marmite is fucking AWEFUL in fact putrid..

A tiny smear is what do as Az says...

It is delicious and has negligible calories. You can dissolve half- to 1 teaspoon in boiling water and drink it like broth.. (makes a change from tea and coffee)

It's extremely HIGH in vit B's and VERY good for you.

Best try it with Cheese + butter + cracker and used a tiny smidge.

It's also very good with a layer of mashed avocado (and the tiny smidge of Vegemite underneath on the buttered toast). The fat of the avocado and the salinity of the Vegemite along with the butter is very moreish.

Or, as toast soldiers (a buttered and vegemite coated piece of toast cut up into three vertical slices and eaten with slices of cheese)...

Toast soldiers can be anything in the ingredients department though.... that's just my preference.

It sounds like a lot of mixing just for a hint of a taste of vegemite.

I have to drive an hour either way to get really fresh oysters and once you get rid of the shells, that's hardly anything.... but I crave them....

Okay that's all fine and well. You can talk that Vegemite shit up all you want. After I saw that canned green bean and saltine cracker, cow flop you made and most likely ate, your word on food it highly suspect... :laugh3:
