I do not think racism was a factor in any of these police confrontations.

If these states burn....its because the governors of them allowed it. All it takes is a phone call and feds will clear it.

They rather let their cities be destroyed, sadly. Innocent people die and have their lives ruined. They dont care.

There is proof of racial bias in Floyd's death and it was clearly not murder or even manslaughter when you see the whole video. The cops will walk or convicted of a minor charge.

Racism was a factor in the protests, but not in the confrontation between Floyd and the Minneapolis police.

We can speculate all day and night about whether or not that officer was racist.  The fact of the matter is I've never seen a hold that is taught in academy during training described as "inducing the immediate onset of cardiac arrest" used on a white man who then subsequently dies and the video is blasted all over the news for months in end.

I know we need the police.   I also realize that systematic racism is an issue.  If we demilitarized the police, I believe we would see less complacent and complaint minority officers not reacting in these situations.

Because when it's done to white people, it's not politically useful.

The same hold was done on a white man right before it was done to Floyd. And unlike the Floyd, the cops directly killed this man AND were mocking him.

In all the data we have....there just hasnt been any evidence of systemic racism.

The closest thing we have to systemic racism is Bidens crime bill. That caused mass incarceration of black men for nonviolent crime.

The media is very left leaning and only reports and pushes issues they can use to create a narrative that is favorable to democrats.

Biden is a life long anti desegregationist. I think he hates blacks because everything he has supported as an elected politician have been bad for blacks.

The reason why BLM wants to demilitarize the police is because of how racist the military is.  White supremacy is rampant in the military among the ranks.

I wholeheartedly support due process of the law.  A police officer does not have the right to play judge, jury and executioner.  I do not want to see the police murder anyone.  They are employed to maintain the peace.  How is this peaceful?

Is the war on drugs so important that we don't allow drug dealers to go and sell drugs to druggies and would rather traumatize society with their publicly broadcasted execution than let one get away?

BLM lost any small quotient of legitimacy it might have once had  and Antifa NEVER had any. They've merged into a mob of socialists, slackers, communists, cheats, rioters, looters, and adult aged toddlers.

....and I despise the police. They are equally fucked up, so when you see me defending police actions, shit has hit the proverbial fan.

BLM never had any "actual" credibility.

Go back to Fergusson. BLM was smashing and burning and hurting people within minutes of startup

The only difference between antifa and BLM is Cause .. All of antifa  is anarchy for burn, smash and hurt people .. whereas BLM has its own soldiers do that for them for an actual cause that is long ago lost and now unknown by those marching and providing cover.

Let's call it for what it is....a coup... they haven't been able to remove Trump in any other ways, so they'll burn the whole system down in order to get what they want.....previously a slow and deliberate systematic burn to fundamentally change the make up of the US into a more subservient almost EU version of its previous self....

They support the political party that started the war on drugs and mass incarceration.

Also all they have done since they started is riot on election years. They started during the last administration.

Due process happens in court. Not on the street. When someone is being arrested and they become violent with police and start fighting.....that has nothing to do with due process.

I really do not understand this argument. In everyone of these shootings, police were not just gunning down cooperative suspects for the crime they may have committed. These people were fighting and attempting to flee.

I do not want a society where people have an option to be arrested. Everyone gets due process.  Being allowed to run from your arrest or get violent with police is not something ANYONE gets free reign to do. Had these people cooperated in their arrest and fought in court, they wouldn't be dead right now.

We need to stop babying criminals and throwing police under the bus.  It's the minority communities with high crime rates this hurts. No residents in high crime rate areas want the police to be penalized. But they are poor so no one listens to them or cares.

BLM has done nothing but destroy minority communities. These places dont just bounce back from riots. Businesses will leave. Taxes will rise. Many small businesses are closed forever, now. Basically because police had to take down violent suspects.

30 innocent people and a handful of children....mostly all black have died because of BLM riots.

This organization has destroyed more minority lives....whether by murder or economic devastation....than anything since the kkk. They have also raised billions of dollars, that they give to ActBlue. A democrat platform. The democrats....who are responsible for the mass incarceration, the qualified immunity and the shit unsafe schools.

It's almost like all these people HATE poor minorities. Because if police dare protect them from the high rates of violent crime....all these "racial justice" warriors show up go devastate the community and kill children.

When they say..."no justice no peace", it means as long as justice is served and police protect the community, they will not be allowed any peace.

So the options inner city disadvantaged people have? Tolerate violent criminals and just get murdered, raped, trafficked by gangs or BLM will destroy your whole community.  That's the choice given by BLM.

No one supporting this mess gives a shit about inner city life or what it's like to live there.  BLM wont give a single penny to these communities they wreck, or families they have ripped apart.

I know some dipshit upper middle class U of M graduate who has never spent a day in Detroit trying to fight to remove the police presence from schools. Do you think she gives a fuck that it's the only way these kids get in the door safely? Does she care that those police mentor the kids? Give them food and school supplies? That many kids get caught up in gangs at NINE years old and the police presence there has been good for the community?  Do you think she knows anything about Detroit or how its policed?

No she doesnt give a fuck. Inner city minorities are a prop for her to feel all "revolution" high and the harm this is doing to vulnerable populations just doesnr matter. They go home and have a place to sleep, food to eat and resources.....so why should they give a fuck?  They get to feel high on their idea of racail justice. 12 year old girls getting trafficked or people dying in gang violence at higher rates because the police were castrated doesnt matter to them because they wont be the ones living in the aftermath.
My happiness is all of your misery. I put good dick all in my kidneys.

The fact that these monsters descended on Kenosha to destroy it.....because a rapist got himself shot by police for reaching into his car after resisting two taser shots

But completely ignored the fact that BLM "protesters" shot Secoriea Turner, an 8 year old child, in Atlanta says everything.
My happiness is all of your misery. I put good dick all in my kidneys.

"No Justice No Peace" was initiated by the BLM movement which endured a hostile takeover by Antifa.  Antifa's presence was noticeable during the second week of Floyd protests to me.  BLM wants systematic racism to end.  They did not initiate the riots.  I'll prove my theory: go to a University campus hosting a BLM protest and you will not see riots on campus.

Do you honestly believe Antifa had sleeper cells all over the US... or did you read my part about the perfect storm of pandemic/unemployment/protest that led to a bunch of angry 20somethings flooding the streets to terrorize cities across 3 continents?  Don't dilute the importance of BLM because you're mad about the resulting riots.  It's an important message.

As for Blake: I have not seen any video that proves Blake handed over his DL/ID or that the officers ran it and were aware of his prior arrests.. which could have justified them throwing taser shots when he wasn't cooperating.  I also haven't seen any video of taser shots being thrown and we never see Blake go down on the ground.  I'm sure the calibration of the taser will be tested to confirm the officers story since they weren't wearing body cameras. The prior rape charge doesn't justify his being paralyzed in this incident and I doubt it will be admissible at trial.

Blake allegedly was breaking up a fight between 2 women when he was approached & questioned by police.  Please explain to me why a man who has police with guns drawn on him and admits to  the police that he has a knife in his car and is not visibly in handcuffs or under arrest should not be allowed to go to his vehicle so he can surrender the weapon to police?  Cause from where I stood that's what it looks like happened.  I also drew the conclusion that he wasn't under arrest yet just by the way he was walking to his car.  It is standard protocol for police to request the surrendered of all weapons during any arrest. Why was a man not under arrest shot multiple times in the back when he attempted to open the door of his vehicle?  He had 3 kids in the car who were watching this.  Does that make it any more horrific for you?  How is Blake going to stab a cop when guns are drawn on him?

Do we know if the officers asked him to hand over the weapon while they had their guns already drawn?  No.  We don't.  We don't know anything that was said that led to him walk to his vehicle including the reason why the officers had their guns drawn. That's the problem with officers not wearing body cameras.  I'm sorry, but an officer's life has to actually be in danger for them to shoot someone.  I don't hear the officers yelling "stop or I'll shoot!" in the video either.

I'm not picking a side based on my favorite electoral candidate.  I'm basing my opinion on my knowledge of the law.  I'm reviewing the evidence just like everyone else except I refuse to assume Blake was guilty just because the cops had their guns drawn as soon as the video starts... which is the assumption I believe many have made here.

I don't want to live in a world where the police demand full compliance or death.  They do not get to play judge/jury/executioner just because they have a badge.

Renee

Due process is the legal requirement that the state must respect all legal rights that are owed to a person.

"No justice, no peace" originated to the 1986 murder of Michael Griffith at the hands of an angry mob of white youth.  It means we will protest until there is justice.  Justice = trial.
