The school board says the move will not mean less opportunity for students.



"By phasing out these courses, all students will have access to an inclusive model of education, and all students will be able to participate in the curriculum fulsomely. Teachers support the diverse needs of all students in their classes through differentiated instruction — and this includes enrichment," a spokesperson writes in an email.

The nation's largest teachers' union has quietly taken down a series of adopted and proposed resolutions from its website, including one that calls for the organization to defend the teaching of Marxism-rooted critical race theory (CRT) in public schools.



The National Education Association (NEA), which represents more than 3 million employees in public education, previously showed on its website resolutions proposed during its 100th Representative Assembly. As of the morning of July 6, three days after the online convention concluded, visitors could use the website to track the status of those proposals, including whether they were approved, denied, or referred to a committee.

A significant number of Baltimore public high school students earned below a "D" grade point average during the first three quarters of the 2020–2021 school year, according to an analysis.



The analysis by Project Baltimore, an investigative reporting series by Fox affiliate WBFF, found that during that time period, 41 percent earned a 1.0-grade point average (GPA) or below. That would mean that more than 8,400 of Baltimore City Schools' 20,500 students are getting grades below a "D" overall.

Rhode Island Teachers Union Sues Mom Over CRT Public Records Request

The National Education Association (NEA) filed a lawsuit and a temporary restraining order against a Rhode Island mom for requesting information regarding the CRT propaganda that her child is being taught in school.



Nicole Solas filed an official request with the district for a copy of her daughter's public school curriculum and other materials under the state's Access to Public Records Act, but was instead presented with the ridiculous lawsuit.



After she was served papers yesterday, she blasted the National Education Association for hiding the requested information and said that they are "bullying moms" in the process.

Woke Ideology Harms Children, Say Parents, Therapists



Components of the "woke" ideology that's been spreading throughout the American education system are harmful to children's psychological development, according to experts and parents who've seen the effects first-hand.



The experts noted that many of the concerns raised by proponents of the ideology are real. The way the ideology frames the issues, however, is inappropriate for children. The ideology applies a quasi-Marxist analysis which frames issues of race, "gender," sexuality, and others as conflicts between "oppressor" and "oppressed" groups. A child is likely to internalize the message as either guilt or victim mentality, both harmful for healthy psychological development.



Even for adults, these aspects of the ideology are likely counterproductive, if not toxic, some experts said.
