A new poll from a North Carolina policy non-profit probing public opinion on the causes of inflation found that the most popular answer by far was President Joe Biden's policies.

The poll, conducted by progressive group Carolina Forward on a sample of 835 registered voters, found that 45 percent of respondents said the Biden administration's policies were the biggest cause of inflation, which in the year through November hit a 31-year high of 6.8 percent.

While the COVID-19 pandemic has spurred energy demand, leading to increased prices, the Biden administration's reliance on imports is a greater contributor to the increased costs of oil and gas, according to Jerry Simmons, the president of the Domestic Energy Producers Alliance (DEPA).

The DEPA is a coalition of 39 associations from across the United States that aims to lower the cost of energy by ramping up U.S. gas and oil production. Simmons said the organization wants a U.S. energy-independent solution to climate concerns, saying that the United States has an abundance of natural gas and produces the least carbon pollution when refining oil, so importing it from adversaries doesn't make sense.

"I think the most dramatic thing about the Russian imports to this country ... for me, is natural gas," Simmons told The Epoch Times. "The largest gas field in the world is the Marcellus and Utica shales in Northeast Pennsylvania, Ohio, West Virginia. And because of restrictions on building pipeline infrastructure in the Northeast, this winter, in Boston Harbor, you will see Russian flagged ships downloading liquefied natural gas for the citizens of Massachusetts, which is ridiculous."

No wonder the Americans are struggling. Biden and his far left puppet masters are a plight on their lives.

Energy independence, low inflation, rising wages, Middle Eastern peace, and secure borders of the Trump administration seems like a lifetime ago. The incomptetence of the Biden regime is mind boggling.

The falling trend in retail gasoline prices has likely hit bottom and drivers should expect a fresh run of higher prices before seeing relief at the pump again, according to several industry experts, with one predicting a peak as high as $4 per gallon by spring.

Biden has been criticized for relying on OPEC to ramp up supply to counter higher prices at the pump, rather than boosting domestic oil production.

After taking office in January, Biden signed executive orders that shut down construction of the Keystone XL pipeline, which would have been able to transport oil into the United States from oilfields in Alberta, Canada. The administration also put a freeze on some new drilling sites.

Fuel prices are one of the major factors pushing up inflation in the United States, which soared to a multi-decade high in November.

Old Jim Crow Joe tells some whoppers.

During a CNN town hall in October, Biden boasted, "We've created more jobs in the first eight months of my administration than any president in American history — total number of jobs created."

PolitiFact conducted a fact check on Biden's statement.

"The raw numbers support Biden's claim, but the talking point glosses over the reality that the U.S. economy remains about 5 million jobs under its pre-pandemic peak," the fact-checking outlet determined.

The fact check also noted, "But what phase of expansion the economy is in at the precise moment of their inauguration can play a big role in how a president's first months go economically."

Digital director Logan Hall: "Sleight of hand. Vast majority of these were return from state lockdown."

Progressive radio host Kim Iversen: "I can't believe the White House tweeted this. This is just another example of their gaslighting."'

Former Republican Rep. Mark Walker: "The Biden Administration arguably had the worst first year of any Presidency in history. But according to the White House, Biden has created as many jobs per month than the previous six presidents combined. Please clap."

Former Republican congressional candidate Kimberly Klacik: "Joe Biden saying he created more jobs per month than any other President is like saying the hospitals are overrun after firing staff for refusing the vaccine. It's a zero-sum game."

Podcast host Eric Matheny: "If a job is lost due to the government forcing you to close your business or alternatively, economic factors related to government overreach cause the job to be lost, and then the job is available again once business resumes, a job is not 'created.'"

Pennsylvania state Rep. David Rowe: "The fact that no one in the comments is buying this propaganda gives me hope for our future."

Cato Institute Senior Fellow Scott Lincicome: "I like to imagine the annoyed WH economist tasked with creating this chart, knowing just how silly it is. Pretty funny tbh."

Business consultant Taylor Welch: "Classic 'How to Lie With Statistics' graph right here."

Rep. Burgess Owens (R-Utah): "Over half of the created jobs were consulting gigs for Hunter."

A Biden supporter noted: "I voted for Biden but this graph is hardcore misleading. Jobs created and filled are not the same thing. Additionally this kinda leaves out 3-4 million resignations on a month by month basis."

A Twitter user tweeted: "They think you're dumb."

One commenter said: "This level of propaganda would make Joseph Stalin blush."

Another commenter added: "Just to clarify. 'Created' means these jobs did not exist before, ever. Is that correct? If so, great job! If this is nothing other than filling jobs that were eliminated because of a global pandemic then it's a phony victory lap."

One person said: "The jobs, claimed to be created, are the jobs those were lost during pandemic. The government uses statistics to fool the taxpayers. However, it is 2022, there are no fools to believe such misinformation."

Another Twitter user wrote: "Only the federal government is capable of creating this math."

Sen. Joe Manchin has yanked his proposal for a $1.8 trillion compromise on President Joe Biden's Build Back Better plan off the table, according to reports — potentially the final nail in the coffin of the Democratic Party's signature social-spending agenda.

The West Virginia Democrat's about-face was reported Saturday by the Washington Post, citing three unnamed sources with knowledge of the matter.

The report came days after Manchin told the media that he was no longer discussing Biden's long-sought bill with the White House.

Biden's agenda to make natural gas an environmental bogeyman. Efforts to shut down natural gas use have succeeded or are already underway in New York City, San Francisco, Seattle, and Denver. Bloomberg reports President Joe Biden would like to "edge natural gas out of the power mix within 15 years."

But Biden also shut down the KeystoneXL pipeline within the first 24 hours of taking office; then, in November, proposed greater restrictions on federal lands. (He had earlier attempted to ban new oil and gas leases on public lands, but was rebuffed by a federal judge.)

Still, as Biden attempted to reduce domestic production, he turned to OPEC to increase production to reduce the rate of price inflation in domestic fuels.

And just recently, CCP China signed a 20-year deal with Venture Global LNG to supply 4 million tons of LNG from the USA every year with nary a whimper about climate change from the federal government. It appears that, for the Biden administration, "Climate change" is limited only to the airspace immediately above the USA.

In much the same manner, nearly all the most important components of the electric cars the Biden administration wishes us to adopt are found in CCP China, our political adversary and prospective enemy. Neodymium, the rare earth element used for permanent magnets that are the most useful for electric cars, and nearly half a ton of which is required for each wind turbine, is mined almost exclusively in CCP China. Both the mining and processing of Neodymium is horrendously damaging to the environment.

Similarly, the solar panels the Biden administration hopes to use to supply so much future electricity are loaded with deadly toxic chemicals.

As with the struggle against the global pandemic, the challenge of reducing human-influenced climate change needs to be a global effort; a "Moon shot" as it were, involving the development of collaborative, clean, energy technology among the most technologically advanced economies of Europe, the USA, and Asia. It's not something the United States can fix by outsourcing carbon-based fuel consumption and environmentally devastating mining to other countries. Out of sight will not be out of mind.

The absurd Kabuki theater of Biden administration climate policy—made only for appearances to mollify the U.S. electorate while polluting much of the rest of the world—deeply offends American sensibilities. It is a type of environmental imperialism that will, eventually, create troubled, volatile—even belligerent—relations with the nations we pollute and exploit while doing nothing to arrest the disastrous global effects of climate change.

Kabuki theater on climate policy by the USA will lead to a rocky climate horror show for us and the world.

Export jobs, raise the cost of energy and everything else, increase global pollution and the reckless misuse of very finite resources are Biden's Kabuki theatre of fighting climate change.

Civil rights leader blasts Biden and Harris: 'Progressives have hijacked the rich legacy of the civil rights movement'

https://www.theblaze.com/news/civil-rights-bob-woodson-biden-harris?utm_source=theblaze-dailyPM&utm_medium=email&utm_campaign=Daily-Newsletter__PM%202022-01-16&utm_term=ACTIVE%20LIST%20-%20TheBlaze%20Daily%20PM">https://www.theblaze.com/news/civil-rig ... Civil rights leader Bob Woodson railed against progressives who he accused of "hijacking" the 1960s movement that he was heavily involved in and helped coordinate national and local community revitalization programs.

Woodson, 84, commented on how progressives — including the Biden administration — have used voting rights to attempt to appeal to black voters by marketing it as a civil rights issue.

"It's part of the whole process that progressives have hijacked the rich legacy of the civil rights movement and really using it as a bludgeon against the country," Woodson stated.

"The biggest voter suppression is apathy," Woodson continued. "In many of our cities like Washington, D.C., in mayoral elections and others, the turnout is under 6% in high crime areas because they live in a banana republic."

"They're talking about voting rights as the most important issue to black America," he said. "That's not true. It may be for some elites who profit from it, but every five minutes of every day a child is shot in America, and four times that number of those children are black."

"I know one woman who lost all four of her sons to homicide before the age of 30; that's the crisis facing low-income black America, it is not voting rights," he added.

"Some of these same murders are occurring in cities that have been run by black politicians over the past 50 years," Woodson explained. "If racism were the sole culprit, then why are blacks failing in institutions run by their own people? Why are they failing in political systems where all the control is in the hands of black politicians?"

"So the way you can avoid having to address this dilemma — what I call the 'enemy within the black community' — is what we must address," Woodson concluded. "And concentrating on voting rights is a deflection away from that reality and prevents us from coming up with solutions that the Woodson Center has been promoting and will continue to promote. Restoration from within the community suffering from the problem."

Crack pipes for visible minorities? This is racist even by Joe Biden's standards.

Biden admin to send crack pipes to drug addicts to advance 'racial equity'

The baffling measure is included in the Department of Health and Human Services' fiscal year 2022 Harm Reduction Program Grant program. In the document, the crack pipe plan is described as the dispersion of federal government funds for the slightly more anodyne "smoking kits/supplies."

But a spokesman for the department recently told the Washington Free Beacon that the grant money will do exactly what the headline says it will do.

The distributed kits will provide safer pipes for drug addicts to use when they smoke crack cocaine, crystal methamphetamine, or "any illicit substance." The spokesman reportedly explained that the supplied pipes will reduce users' chances of becoming infected. Glass pipes often used by addicts can sometimes lead to infection through cuts and sores.

The grant program, worth almost $30 million, closed applications on Monday and will begin providing the funds to nonprofit and local government recipients in May.

The Free Beacon reported that applicants for the grant money will be prioritized for selection if they promise to use the funds in "underserved communities," including where there are large African-American and LGBTQ+ populations, as established under President Joe Biden's executive order on "advancing racial equity and support for underserved communities."

With the order, issued in January, Biden set in motion a "comprehensive approach to advancing equity for all, including people of color and others who have been historically underserved, marginalized, and adversely affected by persistent poverty and inequality."
