As Seoul tried to explain to JOE, our social safety net, like the American social safety net, is subsistence..



It's only meant to supplenent personal savings and investments...it's not a substitute..



Americans and Canadians are incentivized through our tax systems to save for our own future economic security..



Joe is close to retirement age and never did that, so he seems a bit jealous of those of us who have prepared for our own future.

I didn't see where Seoul explained it, but I'd suggest he not waste his time on a bitter negative failure  who does "not want" to know facts  .. rather whose only purpose in life is to spread his own negativity upon others



I don't see his posts so was once again amazed to see that Renee's  extensive knowledge included knowing what a "druve by shooting" was   ac_smile

We had a discussion about the brief pandemic market plunge on SG about ten months ago. This of course lead to the merits investiing, and of course the CBT crowd is illiterate about markets. Joe is a lame troll stuck in 2006. But, I will remind him that the average CPP monthly payment is $710/month. And that's only if you've worked most of your life.

Thats when Santa Claus comes and delivers presents to kids directly.
