I really liked Rushdie



He knew and tried to tell us what to expect from islam long before most people were even thinking about it ... even when he was put under death threat by a so-called leader in islam most didn't clue in

I haven't heard about in such a long time.

He has not gone public much in quite a while. I don't know if it's because of the islamic threats or simply a choice



He was brave in his initial writing as he knew he would get blowback and have to live with protection ... despite merely calling islam what it was



Sadly the West  .. at least those in power .. chose to not get the "politically inconvenient" message

The BBC is showing it, which is a kind of unusual considering how woke they are. I want to see it.

Angela West, the wife of Republican Texas gubernatorial candidate Allen West, has been cleared of a DWI charge.



West, 61, had no traces of drugs or alcohol in her system, despite being arrested last month for allegedly driving while intoxicated (DWI) with her 3-month-old grandson in the car, the Dallas County District Attorney's Office said, citing toxicology results.



In the video, West –  who is also a former Florida congressman – said he spoke to people who were with his wife at a PF Chang's restaurant earlier that night and claimed they told him she was drinking only "water and lemonade." He also blasted the Dallas Police Department for not letting him see his wife or talk to a supervisor about the arrest.



"The thing that upsets me the most is that they [Dallas police] took my wife, arrested her, brought her to jail, and left my grandson with two Dallas police officers," West said in the Twitter video. "Luckily, they were able to get in contact with our youngest daughter, Austin, who was able to go and pick up Jackson [West's grandson] from two police officers on the side of the road... I support the thin blue line but this is insidious."



Police made public the arrest footage, took her to jail without saying she blew 0 on the meter - after arresting her and holding the child until family came for the child



[It took 3 months for DA to begrudgingly reverse allegations .. even though they knew day 1  she had 0 alcohol in her & left accusations stand  for 3 months and gave arrest footage to media to use against Alan for all that time  



Drunk driving with a minor in vehicle ups the charges greatly to "reckless endangerment", a very serious offense  - What a screw over - and what an example of what is going on most everywhere now]
