Even as the European Union rolls out aggressive plans for reducing plastic waste, countries are importing cheap ethane gas to fuel their plastics industries.

Fracking means more jobs and not just in oil and gas.

Cheap feedstock from the US means less plastic imports from Asia.

Not to mention fracking means low energy prices for Americans. Biden will stop that.

As cheap as oil has been the plastics industry world wide should have been booming. Now that exploration etc has been curtailed in a big way, oil prices are going up. Not a good thing for the plastics industry. We were next door to a business that serviced the rail cars that hauled the plastic beads around the country. Oil prices high, they were slow. Oil prices low, they were booming.
I've learned that if someone asks you a really stupid question and you reply by telling them what time it is, they'll leave you alone

The plastics industry is booming because of COVID. Cheap oil is just a bonus.
