Yeah, but you can't blame our prosperity about face solely on leftist politicians....A significant number of our citizens are dumb enough, brainwashed enough, short sighted enough, naive enough to advocate for and crave the concept of a big brother that provides for them...In a democratic society where the political leaders are elected by the citizenry, it is the voter, the citizens themselves that are the root of the problem. Socialist, progressive concepts that are proven to be detrimental to economic growth look good to these morons because it promises them all the free stuff that they would normally have to work for in an economically prosperous, capitalist, environment.

Some politicians have convinced naive voters that new taxes and higher existing taxes are good for them.

I honestly feel bad for people who think the government holds all the answers and can fix things by throwing more and more money at a problem or issue. These are the kind of people who would walk off the edge if a cliff is some so called "law maker" told then it was good for them....In today's day and age, that amounts to plain old stupidity and you and almost everyone else here knows very well what I think of stupid people.

Government confiscation of our earnings and our decisons does not raise living standards and make people freer. It has the opposite affect. It amazes me how some people have been brainwashed to believe down is up.
