So, the cop is adjudged guilty of murder.

Along with every other variant of corruption that underpins the US, we've now seen their judicial process revert to mob intimidation.

"Find him guilty or we'll burn you down". Even a member of congress publicly makes that threat.

Expect an appeal...this ain't over. There is NO way that jury was not influenced by the threat of mass rioting across the country if they had acquitted him.

I think the cop was dumb, brutal and well out of line. Manslaughter was an appropriate charge. But murder requires pre-mediation and some level of intent. There is no evidence that he intended to kill the prisoner. None.

cc

That is true. No evidence or even inference of intent to kill = absolutely "not murder" = mob intimidation of jury to judge not murder as murder

Look for appeal removing at least the murder verdict  .. followed by mob property destruction (and likely far far worse) to the extreme

I was going to follow this trial, but I didn't.

Jurors were scared shitless to listen only to evidence.

Pretty much....

...he should only been charged with a negligence charge, for not recognising that the suspect was having a health issue while under his authority.

....but even then, being covid positive and swallowing one's baggy with 7 times the lethal dose of fentanyl isn't an easy thing to ascertain in the moment.

This was a show trial to appease idiots.

The prosecution presented a better case than the defense.

He basically won the lottery.

The prosecution presented riots and bloodshed...

They got two veteran police officers to testify against Derek Chauvin's actions.

Candace Owens decried the guilty verdict against former Minneapolis police Officer Derek Chauvin as "mob justice," telling Fox News' Tucker Carlson that "no person can say this was a fair trial."

Speaking of Floyd, Owens told Carlson:

"You know, the media came out — let's not forget this, Tucker — the media came out and told us that this was a man who was just getting his life together, he was a good member of society, and he got mixed up because a racist, white police officer had it out for him and killed him. All of that fell apart...we now know, of course, that he had enough fentanyl in him, it was three times the lethal dosage — three times the lethal dosage — in him when he died. But nobody cares because the media was successful in putting out a narrative and they kept hitting that narrative."

Owens went on to say that "the reason Democrats are happy is because they realize, of course, the media supports them and [that] now means that Democrats can get whatever they want because they can create a narrative and then they can treat people like pawns and basically get them to say, 'if we don't get what we want, we will riot, we will loot, we will send these people out like soldiers to destroy neighborhoods.' And that is exactly what has happened."

I find the triumphant gloating of politicians of the left and its media cadres to be obscene.

Anyone from the outside the US watching this farcical and tawdry display of smug anti white animosity who still believes that America is a model democracy, the leader of the free world and stands for truth and justice is brain dead.

America is rotten to its core and we in more civilised nations need to maintain a safe distance from its influence via its media, culture and political reach.

Adept at dispersing its poison to the world, it is the "covid" of cultures and a citadel of hate, violence and greed which it is more than happy to share with other nations that cannot think for themselves. At a time when it needs political and moral leadership to rebuild and redefine itself, it was faced with a choice between Trump and Biden. Tweedledee and Tweedle-very-fucking-dumb.

If anyone thinks that the lynching of a stupid, callous cop is going to fix what's broken in that idiot nation, they are deluding themselves. The hate between races won't go away. The cop was not the problem. He was a product of a country that believes that violence is a solution and racial hatred is the norm. His conviction won't stop blacks hating whites or vice versa.

May god bless America...because it's going to need all the help it can get.
