...and I read these contents....but I'm constantly struck by the sentiment in them which is completely authoritarian against total authoritarian leftists....in a sort of mismatched agreement.

As a Libertarian... or more aptly and specifically put, a Voluntaryist... no action can be levelled against an individual unless they are harming others...and no dictate stands the smell test because 98-99% of people get a cold virus and make it, while the few don't (much like seasonal influenza)...

Libertarians are a dime a dozen on either side of the spectrum...

But most free thinkers get whittled down..

Noam fizzled out...

He calls himself a libertarian socialist. That is an oxymoron.

You mean university and wisdom are utterly disparate.

Diametrically opposite, in fact.

Recently, I've added academia to the list of institutions that are actively operating counter to the needs and wishes of the community.

The term "professor" in my dictionary defines it as someone who has learned much, lacks any knowledge of how ordinary citizens lives their lives, and could not hold a worthwhile job if their life depended on it. Like normal people.

Academics are embedded in the industry of Telling Us What To Do, along with politicians, bureacrats, public servants, religions and large corporations.

We would be well rid of them.
