No. I was referring to the fact that the State owned media publishes what the CCP wants them to in order to create the illusions that keep them in power.

They do give the people what they want..

Herman posted something about the state owned media reversing themselves over glorified reporting of the Taliban.

Kyle Rittenhouse says that he's willing to meet with President Joe Biden in order to clear up any misconceptions surrounding the murder trial in which he was acquitted on all charges.

During an interview with Steven Crowder on "Louder with Crowder," Rittenhouse said, "Mr. President, I hope you see this. ... I'd have a sit-down and I'll explain the facts to you so you can understand them."

As a presidential candidate, Biden implied that Rittenhouse was a white supremacist.

Unless Biden retracts his lies and states that Rittenhouse is not a white supremacist, he should hire a lawyer and sue him.

He will have to be remembered as the dumbest politician ever to achieve high office.

He is a national embarassment to a country that really didn't need any more national embarrassments.

The president won't talk to the media, so I doubt he'll meet someone he told a vicious lie about.

He is also one of the most corrupt. Even more corrupt than Bill Clinton.

It amazes me that these corrupt and incompetent bozos keep buying themselves into office at all levels and Americans just sit back and shrug.

"It's the American way".

Religion, politics, toxic foods and drugs are all just consumer commodities.

There isn't a lot of difference when you cross the border into Canada.

There's no way Canada is as riddled with corruption as the US.

Wherever you have money and politicians there will be corruption everywhere. But America LEGITIMISES the bribery of its politicians and bureaucrats with political donations and "lobbyists".

Brother, we have a legal lobbying industry here too.

https://lobbycanada.gc.ca/en/ten-things-you-should-know-about-lobbying-a-guide-for-federal-public-office-holders/">https://lobbycanada.gc.ca/en/ten-things ... e-holders/">https://lobbycanada.gc.ca/en/ten-things-you-should-know-about-lobbying-a-guide-for-federal-public-office-holders/

1. Lobbying is legitimate

Individuals, groups or companies have a right to communicate with elected or appointed government officials. The purpose of the Lobbying Act (the Act) is to ensure transparency and accountability in the lobbying of federal public office holders in order to contribute to increasing Canadians' confidence in the integrity of the government decision-making process.

2. The Lobbying Act (the Act)

The preamble of the Act sets out four principles:

Free and open access to government is an important matter of public interest;

Lobbying of public office holders is a legitimate activity;

It is desirable that public office holders and the public be able to know who is engaged in lobbying activities;

A system for the registration of paid lobbyists should not impede free and open access to government.

Lobbying is standard in all democracies, I believe.

But elsewhere I posted an example of Big Pharma in the US spending $450M in three years "lobbying" the government to prevent legislation that would lower the price of pharmaceuticals for consumers and those in need of remedial drugs.

The same system, I should add, that exists in our countries, as well as Europe and the UK.

But Big Pharma spent $450M, and prevented the legislation they feared.

This is corruption so large that the man in the street simply shrugs and powerlessly walks away.

Trump was the only president to ever get the cost of drugs lowered. Damn, the lobbying industry hated him.

In Canada, big green is the most powerful lobby group. They lobby Justine for higher carbon taxes on average Canadians so the the windfall can be diverted to corporations to go green. It's corrupt as it gets.
