Amnesty is reporting something that a lot of us have been aware of since the beginning.

The Uke army is using civilian areas as military positions.

Ukrainian forces have put civilians in harm's way by establishing bases and operating weapons systems in populated residential areas, including in schools and hospitals, as they repelled the Russian invasion that began in February, Amnesty International said today.

Such tactics violate international humanitarian law and endanger civilians, as they turn civilian objects into military targets. The ensuing Russian strikes in populated areas have killed civilians and destroyed civilian infrastructure.

"We have documented a pattern of Ukrainian forces putting civilians at risk and violating the laws of war when they operate in populated areas," said Agnès Callamard, Amnesty International's Secretary General.

"Being in a defensive position does not exempt the Ukrainian military from respecting international humanitarian law."

That is kind of unavoidable.  That is the hard truth.

Do you mean to regain lost territory Oerdin?

Oerdin

I mean if you are fighting on a 3000km front and the front is always moving somewhat then, by necessity,  Armies AR going to have to take advantage of civilian resources that are there.  To do things like take showers, crap in a toilet, charge equipment, use land line telephones, etc...  That goes doubly for HQ detachments.  Unless they are using those buildings as human shields (the way Russia has repeatedly done in this war, see how they fire from right next to nuclear power plants to discourage counter battery fire) then that doesn't even break the Ge ieva or Hangue conventions.

I suspect A.nesty is doing a fair bit of talking out of their ass here just like they usually do.  They are an advocacy group and a very politically motivated one who often throws objectivity or even just factual reality out the window.

It's selective accounting... our financial systems are and have been gutted.

The economic collapses aren't just going on for everyone to see or sense, the American dollar and most other Western nation's fiat are dead.

How long they can prop it up is anyone's guess.... but you Fash should be thinking about food, water, and heating..... and a bit of a non-fiat nest-egg.... whatever that is.... it could be precious metals, a pantry, good camping gear, or even digital currencies... I dunno.... but get as many of them as you can however you see fit.

I care for my vehicles more than my properties. That's more important to me. So today I spent 2.1 k just getting my vehicle functioning perfectly...

I got ripped off even booking it in by 300-400 dollars and we both knew it.... the guy behind the counter and me....

And when I paid up the remainder (had to do a 10 percent deposit before when booking), I had to remind the staff that I already kicked in 200 bucks to get the ball rolling when paying.... AND I had told these people when booking that I replaced the air filter days before... but when I picked the vehicle up.... the counterstaff had to go out back and ask the mechanic for it.... because he was going to keep it after they replaced all filters.... I suspect.... I heard part of their conversation and went yup.... the fucker was going to keep it for himself or a mate with the same make and model...

They brought it out in a different manufacturer box and I checked... everyone is robbing everyone these days.

Make sure your vehicle can easily drive away from this shit.
Blahhhhhh...

I'm preparing for the end, but a different end than you are..

While I'm here on earth, it's one day at a time.

Moscow is milking its oil cash cow, earning hundreds of millions of dollars every day to bankroll the invasion of Ukraine and buy domestic support for the war. Once European sanctions against Russian crude exports kick in from November, the region's governments will face some tough choices as the energy crisis starts to bite consumers and companies.

Only a president as corrupt as Jim Crow Joe would give blank cheques to a leader as corrupt as Zelenskyy.

Odinson

People are asking why dont the russian soldiers just desert if they dont like the war.

The same people who lack the mental strength to resist any trend Twitter feed throws at them.

They are so afraid of upsetting POCs and other minorities... None of these bitches have the strength to go against military hierarchy.

You´ll just die a meaningless death and then some other guy does your job.
