Lifting restrictions so people can go back to work are not new jobs Joe.

While it is true the economy added 6.4 million jobs last year, the Biden administration is deceitfully framing their alleged accomplishment by obscuring the fact that the vast majority of those jobs are not new. Rather, the majority of those jobs were Americans returning to the workforce after the worst of the COVID-related lockdowns ended.

ADP chief economist Nela Richardson made that exact point during a CNBC interview on Wednesday.

In fact, Richardson explained that Biden is not responsible for adding "one single job" from the "high-water mark" under then-President Donald Trump in 2019 before the COVID pandemic.

"The economy — and this is an important point — hasn't added one single job from the 2019 high-water mark. Not one," Richardson declared.

"All the jobs that we have seen gained are recovered jobs that were lost. We're not yet producing new jobs," Richardson explained. "In fact, we're still about nearly 4 million jobs short. So, these wage gains are coming on top of a shrinking workforce, and it's not being fueled by productivity enhancements."

Data from the Bureau of Labor Statistics confirm Richardson's point. According to the latest report, the economy remains 3.6 million jobs short of pre-pandemic levels in February 2020, which means the economy remains at a net-loss on jobs.

Regarding wage gains, Richardson explained those, too, are not true gains, but are being driven by labor shortages. And even those gains are being destroyed by high inflation.

"I think that wages are going to be a false metric," Richardson said. "It's not driving inflation, and wages are trying to keep up with an economy that is now feeling the effects of all kinds of different shortages from different angles."

The cureent administration and the equally inept congress are making the GOP's campaign in 2022 easy for them.

Republicans Gained Large Number of Voters in 2021: Surveys

Republicans saw a larger number of voters identify with the party at the end of 2021, compared to the start of the year, while fewer voters leaned toward the Democrats, according to Gallup surveys.

The GOP started the year with 40 percent of those surveyed identifying as "Republican" or "lean Republican," a deficit of 9 percent from voters who identified with the left. However, as the year wore on, more voters began identifying with the right, while a lower number identified as "Democrat" or "lean Democratic."

By the end of the year, 47 percent of voters surveyed identified with the right, compared to 42 percent who identified with the left. The remaining voters identified as a "non-leaning independent."

The results, published by Gallup on Jan. 17, were drawn from all phone surveys the polling firm conducted during the year, including interviews with more than 12,000 American adults.

The last time Republicans held a five-point advantage was in 1995, while Democrats have enjoyed double-digit advantages in multiple quarters since then, including a strong run between 2006 and 2009.

Gallup attributed the drop in Democratic support to plunging approval ratings for President Joe Biden, who has repeatedly been stymied by Congress and the courts while trying to enact a radical agenda that includes COVID-19 vaccine mandates and federalizing elections.

The White House engaged in pre-emptive damage control Monday in anticipation of an apparently dismal jobs report.

White House press secretary Jen Psaki told reporters the jobs report, which which will be released Friday, will appear disproportionately bad, citing the ongoing surge in COVID-19 cases.

Although President Joe Biden promised to shut down the coronavirus, it seems the only thing he is shutting down is job growth, as disappointing numbers reported Wednesday reveal.

Private-sector employment decreased by 301,000 jobs from December to January, according to a report from the payroll processing firm ADP. It's an unexpected blow for the Biden economy after Dow Jones estimated jobs would grow by 200,000 in January.
