Journalism is one of the key target areas of employment as defined by feminists.

Now...why would feminists target journalism, as well as education and public service as key occupations for women?

"Journalism is changing, and so is the role of women in the workplace. But the two are not always evolving in harmony. Women substantially outnumber men in journalism training and enter the profession in (slightly) greater numbers"

Okay, journalism is becoming predominantly a female profession.

Now ask yourself why.

I did and don't think the reason is money..

I checked and it shows the average salary for a journalist in Canada is only $45,000 CDN.

Bricktop

I don't think it is money either.

I think it is the perception that journalists wield influence.

I would've guessed it's the excitement of meeting people, and interviewing them.

Bricktop

It's a nice idea...but nothing is as it seems.

Journalism is not about meeting people. It is about distributing information, usually for a profit. But, it is also about egotism. Most journalists I've met...and I've met a few...are egocentric. They think they ARE the news. Creating and distributing drama gives them a high. They are affecting the world around them far beyond their station. It's a sugar rush. And they greater the drama, the greater the high.

Think about when you were a kid at school, and a particularly interesting and important piece of information falls into your hands. You cannot wait to tell your friends and peers because for a short while you become the centre of their attention.

Adults call this "journalism".

It's everywhere now. Hiring is total woke  .. people hired not on merit, rather mainly because they fit a group. This also includes females in a great many cases

written as I listen to a female yapping on about her version of game strategy alongside her cohorts of former players and coaches with actual game experience

Feminist policy is to hire women above men.

Women see the world as a combination of two genders.

Men see one world.

Journalism has changed..

There aren't small town newspapers anymore where most journalists got their first job covering the local crime beat.

cc

That is true for many.

But women & minorities who become employees do not disproportionally  hire themselves at all much less over white men.

Woke execs do

It's the way "democratic" countries role today

Woke execs are just an extension of the leftist movements ruining our countries.

And their "wokeness" is not based on social justice but maximised profit.
