What is Odinson talking about?

Here's what he was talking about as I read it - From where he is it seemed logical

He was saying the Ambassador Bridge in Windsor was not a biggy as trucks could use the Bluewater Bridge in Sarnia ON

I have the luxury of knowing Windsor, Sarnia, I 75 to detroit  and how far it is to get from Windsor  to Sarnia on the Canadian side

Problem with his alternative is 1. It's a very long haul around to Sarnia, 2. The Bluewater Bridge is not geared for near as many trucks as Windsor & 3. it would force drivers to navigate through the core of Detroit which is very busy with cars to get to where most would be heading

From Windsor, the bridge quickly get's one to I 75 & on one's way south, even east   where most are heading OR west on I 94 is also not difficult to get to ... The Big Bridge exits in South Detroit and avoids the core of Detroit unlike the Sarnia route.

It was really well designed .. a piece of cake to get off the Big Bridge and get heading West, East or South with out Detroit traffic

This is like a splash of cold water on the face.....It was written by Warren Kinsella.

Canada has changed. The trucker convoy's leaders, with their manifestos and demands, didn't get what they wanted. They didn't get an end to vaccines or mandates or masks. They didn't topple the Trudeau government.

Justin Trudeau is still prime minister. He'll likely win again, because of them, if he runs again. Despite his unfair and unethical willingness to call all of the protesters racists or worse.

The protest leaders are in jail, or running away. Their numbers depleted, dejected, detained. Their revolution failed.

But what if they wanted to change the country? Well, if that was their objective, they won. They changed Canada utterly — not in the way they expected, however. Not in the way they wanted.

Polls suggest that much of the country has turned against them. The majority — the ones who still go to work, and pay their taxes, and obey the rules, and don't urinate on the War Memorial, or deface a statue of a boy who ran across Canada on one leg to raise money for vaccine research — is very, very unhappy with them.

That country is angry — at this angry moment — and actually wants them punished.

The proof is found in the numbers.

Maru is a respected polling firm. John Wright leads it in Canada. He has been polling Canadians for decades. And he — and I, and you — have never before seen results like this, not in Canada.

Wright questioned thousands of Canadians about the trucker convoy leaders and their failed protest. What he found isn't just astonishing — it's a portrait of a country that has dramatically changed in the space of just three weeks.

Here's a sampling:

■ Nearly 70% of Canadians — 66% — support Trudeau invoking the Emergencies Act.

■ 82% say there is "no way" the Ottawa occupation should have gone on this long.

■ A majority, 54%, say they're now "ashamed to be a Canadian" because of the politicians who allowed the situation to get out of hand.

■ Many more than that, 71%, say we're "an international embarrassment" because of the convoy truckers occupation.

■ Nearly 70% of all Canadians feel that any politicians who supported the occupation — Tory federal interim leader Candice Bergen and leadership front-runner Pierre Poilievre, take note — "should be voted out of office."

■ Similarly, almost 60% said that any provincial premier who lowered COVID-19 restrictions "caved" to the those who effectively held Ottawa hostage for three weeks.

All surprising, perhaps. All depressing, certainly. There are two findings, however, that deserve special attention. They're frankly stunning.

A third of Canadians now actually favour using violence to protect fundamental Canadian values. An incredible number — 70% — wanted the truckers cleared out of Ottawa, if necessary using violence "or worse."

"Or worse." What is worse than violence? What is worse than 70% of Canadians saying that?

He's done so many illegal things to the peaceful protesters that if he gets reelected despite his tyrant hissy fits, Canada deserves to perish.

He's even surpassed Dan Andrews and Michael Gunner.... something if you asked me a year ago if possible and I would have laughed.

Oh for Christ sake. Did you read that? It said 68 percent of Canadians say any politician that supported the protests should be voted out of office. Even with a pitbull like Pierre Pollivere as leader of the Conservatives, they are going to lose again.

Canada is a nation of compliant progtards. The future aint so bright.

It seems all of this may have helped Justin Trudeau and hurt the Conservatives.

I saw some of these numbers. The federal LIberals did some polling before they invoked the EMA. It's also why Trudeau will not retract his slander of the truckers. This could turn out to be a winning strategy for the Grits, associating the Tories with lawlessness.

This country is filled with twits. We deserve everything Trudeau and his boss Klaus Schwab do to us.

I'm actually not surprised by those polling numbers. Although we shouldn't assume this will help True Dope. I read a poll that a majority of Canadians want an end to all restrictions, testing requirements and mandates. Something that True Dope refuses to do.

Bricktop

As I have said, Trudeau is not your problem. It's the people that put him there.

Everything he said and did was tested against internal polling. He played the numbers. He knew exactly where he stood with the moronic comments and actions that he undertook.

That is your true problem. The members here who despise Trudeau and want him gone are clearly the minority. It is the same situation in Freud's Victoria.

Welcome to democracy, 2022.

Despite being legally compelled, I will again refuse to vote in the forthcoming elections. I will not contribute to a system that is failing us all.
