Exactly what constitutes "proof"? Unless you are physically watching over the shoulder of someone as they post, you have no proof and anyone telling you emphatically otherwise is delusional.



You are welcome to belief though. As in "I believe most people on the boards are too careless or simply cannot be arsed to obfuscate/spoof their IP, Fash has access to the IP records which point to a match" etc. Not proof, but the next best thing to it and you can keep an eye peeled for any other markers that support the supposition. I mean if it is really that ball tearingly important to prove one way or the other. Me personally, I think it more headache than it's worth; IP matching itself is an imperfect science; even if you can categorically point to two user accounts that share the same IP, you have no way of knowing if it is one person or many who happen to be sharing the same connection/machine and are reduced to logical deduction for want of something more concrete.
