Progs who've been losing their minds over the possibility that the U.S. Supreme Court may overturn Roe v. Wade are getting soundly mocked on social media for suddenly standing up for women after openly minimizing and marginalizing them through transgender advocacy.



After all, they've been saying men can give birth, too — as evidenced by the last year's appearance of a "pregnant man" emoji — along with pushing terms like "birthing people" and "people who menstruate."

The left's hypocrisy has been spiraling out of control lately. As long as the left controls the speech on social media, they say nothing. When someone they perceive as being from the right threatens to take over one site, suddenly we need a "Disinformation Governance Board" to control it.

Atlantic contributing writer Jeffrey Rosen published a May 2 piece praising Tesla CEO Elon Musk's view of Twitter and free speech: "Elon Musk Is Right That Twitter Should Follow the First Amendment."



Musk's perspective on remaking the censorship-obsessed platform into a public town square that encourages diversity of opinion is backed up by "[a] long history of free-speech jurisprudence," Rosen said.



He didn't mince words: "Free citizens in a liberal democracy shouldn't trust any centralized authority—public or private—to make decisions about what books, music, and other content they can safely be exposed to."



Musk's position is, in fact, convincing. Although private companies are not required to follow the First Amendment, nothing prevents them from doing so voluntarily. And in Twitter's case in particular, there are strong reasons to believe that the First Amendment should presumptively govern. All four of the main principles that have historically guided the Supreme Court in interpreting the First Amendment apply just as powerfully to social-media platforms as they do to governments.
