I met my wife here on an extended tourist visit.  One thing led to another I suppose.  I have always wanted to see Kazakhstan!  Central Asia in general is fascinating to me..

I wish I had seen more of the country, but my children were so young and I can't speak their official languages.


I have had several kazakh students.  They all know Russian and there is a fair amount of vocabulary shared even between Kazakh and Turkish, though not as much as Turkmen or Kyrgyz.

You need Russian in Kazakhstan and I didn't learn it or Kazakh..
