 I used to think ....well, the guy is a CA conservative. Which would be like an old school Democrat in the Midwest.

 She's on the forums so much there is no way she has any healthy, bonded relationship with a man. And there is no way she's healthy living a sedentary life like that. She spends way too much time on forums instead of moving around.

 I absolutely cannot be home all day if I'm not caring for small children. I HAVE to always have something to do. A job. Or volunteer efforts. Hobbies. Purpose.

 Retiring early is all fine and good if you can afford it BUT having a job is about more than just money and early retirement should mean living and enjoying your life.

 Not just plopping down in front of a PC and waiting for the blood clots in your cankles to travel through the blood gravy and get lodged in your noggin.

 I just can't help but feel like some of them are just hanging around waiting to die.

 Even if you are retired, if all you are going to do is stare at a screen...fucking get a part time job. Any job. And wean yourself back into reality. Get moving around. Start a hobby. Spend meaningful time with people you love.

 Anything. Just do it. It's sad as fuck what she does now.

 When does she spend time with this man?  What do they do together? When do they make love? Do they take walks?  Imagine being retired with the one you love and all that life you could share with them and instead she isolates herself on forums. I never used to think about it much because I was pretty disconnected myself, but getting sucked into forums is like living in some whole other world you join. Right?

A whole other world that the ones in your real world are not part of.

Which is fine. We all have our own things we like to amuse ourselves with.

But she's straight up moved into this one and abandoned her partner...assuming he exists.

Republican/conservative minded men are providers and care givers by nature. I have a very attentive and loving one. I love life with him. There is no way I'd chose to take up 90 percent residence in any world he isn't a part of.

I always thought it was a weird flex when these left leaning women start bragging about how useless their man is and how they don't need him at all.  They all do this. As if they think it makes them look strong and capable or something. "I don't need him, I just want him!" Okay...so he holds the importance of a bag of potato chips in your life. Yikes.

Like no, bish...what you are saying is hurtful and ungrateful and degrading to your partner. We are human beings. We are a tribal species that absolutely NEEDS other humans for layers of reasons and our survival does literally depends on that. Saying the one you share your life with isn't actually needed at all is just hurtful and self absorbed. It's gross.

My man only has a lowley bachelor degree. Well...two of them. He is so intelligent and knowledgeable and when he starts talking about something he knows a lot about, it's magic. I put my phone down. I drop what I'm doing. And I listen and watch. He gets fucking irritable to me. It's just hot. He starts going into details about world politics and history and I'm swooning like a school girl listening to every word he says.

Think about a man so educated he has multiple degrees and is so smart and all that....and yet...she only feeds her brain a steady diet of forum drama

For all we know Oaks man might have died a decade ago and she hasn't even noticed his dusty old skeleton sitting in the recliner yet.
