A Leger poll before the last election showed Jewish support at 55 per cent for the Conservatives and 26 per cent for the Liberals. Take that how you will.

Now contrast that to ridings in Maritimes which is the most British part of the country. It is nearly solid red for Conman Carney's Liberals.

I checked. In the last Canadian federal election, Jews voted 47% for the Tories. The Tories got a little over 41% of the vote. Jews voted Tory at a bit higher rate than the general voting population.

HOWEVER, there is a huge divide by denomination. Orthodox and ultra-orthodox vote overwhelmingly centre-right. Conservative and Reform Jews vote overwhelmingly centre-left.

It's the same with X-tians. Fundamentalist protestants are Tory supporters by a wide margin. Those rainbow flag United churches are hotbeds of socialism.

FYI, Chinks who have been in Canada more than 10 years and own their own home are the most reliable Conservative Party voters in Canada. I always voted Tory blue.
