You could take the time it took you to do that to, perhaps fix some of the broken stuff such as that members can see the posts of blocked members if they view the "Recent Posts" list.

I don't know what happened so unfortunately, I can't answer your questions however if you like I can run it by BF, he and I throw the occasional message back and forth and he's fairly direct and seemingly quite honest with me about stuff that goes down on the forum and how he feels about it. I can't guarantee a reply of course.

Since you chat with him frequently surely can you ask him all those questions you were musing about here. By the same token if you really don't care why would you ask those questions in the first place?
