Quote from: Brent on May 03, 2026, 11:30:25 AMNazareth and Foreigner are still touring. I think both bands have one original member.

I was fortunate to have seen Nazareth live years ago. Sadly, Dan McCafferty died in 2020. I won't say it'd be impossible, but replacing him would be difficult IMHO. His highly distinctive voice was integral to the band's sound.

He sounded a bit like Brian Johnson.

*Correction:  Dan McCafferty passed in 2022, not 2020. As for Brian Johnson, Wikipedia noted this -

"McCafferty suffered from chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) and died on 8 November 2022, at the age of 76.Tributes were paid by rock musicians Brian Johnson and Axl Rose, both of whom mentioned him as an influence on their own singing."

I was not a fan of Nazareth.

I bought their "Hair of the Dog" album and saw them in concert while they were still riding high on that album. Funny thing, though. That's about the sum total of my experiences with them, i.e., one album, one concert. Then for all intents and purposes, they fell off my rock radar.

Some artists are like that. Steve Miller made his career off of one album.

This band's bread and butter came from this one song.
