Here is question why do my neighbors....

I definately would not be cool with bears just hanging out in my yard. Yikes.

We had a black bear that would poke her head in our tent over a summer... maybe every 1-2 weeks. They're quite timid if you yell and growl in unison...

 Yeah. I know we have them in the UP and sometimes one will work it's way down. Not by me....but off the UP.



 I still would definately not wanna be taking out my trash and seeing bear out bearing about in my yard lol

I'd still prefer a black bear compared to an eastern brown snake or tiger snake in my tent...

 I'd prefer none but I agree with this on the basis that you see the bear coming and have a better fighting then if a venomous snake comes quietly slithering for warmth and kills you for existing lol

It's just because they get underfoot and into weird unexpected places. There's often not enough time to detect and react appropriately.
