The gutter oil problem in China

I saw a video on YT the other, I've heard about that a long time ago and thought it was gone, but apparently, 10% of all oil used in China today is "recycled" from non-sanitary conditions



Is it really that big of a problem there?



Soy oil has skyrocketed here in Brazoo in the last year, it went from 3 to 9 reals and people are going insane. I imagine this has something to do with China buying more soy and corn.

Restaurants in Canada and England recycle cooking oil too.

You can make Bio Diesel that is why those old W-109 Mercedes 300 are popular  even older VW TDI's can run off it is great alterative  option during high fuel prices.

Haha that is sure true but people bought into the hype and  raised the prices of old rusted out cars to insane prices people tend to buy into the hype.

They have that here too, but it's for biodiesel and such. Although it wouldn't surprise me if they started recycling cooking of to reuse it on the food industry again



Especially with the price now

I've learned to quickly take a look inside their frying cauldron



If the oil is too dark, I don't even bother

It's more hygienic to eat at restuarants earlier, rather than later.

Yep, also during the first days of the weekend. They tend to do the "heavy cleaning" usually on weekends on places that open on commercial hours during weekdays
