Okay the genesis of the KOF phenomenon is sort of funny, so:



A bunch of us had been aggressively moshing around in a newsgroup (w.katzenjammer).



Behind the scenes, in email, we began communicating and discovered that we actually liked each other.



One day a fellow who went by Riotgear in the newsgroup declared that we were like digital knights, and in fact whether we liked it or not we were all part of something called "Order Of The Illustrious Katzenjammer Knights Of Fire".



Like most everything else we did in public we took it to absurd levels... knight/medieval themed avatars and signatures, etc.



The reactions we got made it all worth it and provided much amusement.



"OOTIKKOF" eventually became "OOTIKOF" when a fair number of us no longer posted in or even had access to the MSNTV katzenjammer newsgroup.



...and that's about it, really.

The problem with kof is they maybe had only 4 to 5 members who were not Benzo clones.



They had a KOF hall of flame and there was maybe 3 flames in it.



Wasn't Caskur in KOF then she demanded they kick her out because she was so embarrassed by it?



When asked, "hey, what was your favorite KOF post?", no one can think of anything. This is true



I remember Aylana from webtv but not many of the KOF knights were that memorable

In that thread , It's Cluless Wombat quoting me in the intro and then he takes apart Evil Blood's quotes



Clueless Wombat was an alt.flame regular, so me and him (we) went to Brawl Hall and messed around with Evil Blood then Clueless started that thread about Flame Boards in alt.flame



I think Skippy in that thread is Dr Doom Aka Tim Thorne from Hell Flame Wars, he changed his nic a few times.



Avoid normal situations was the alt.flame version of Bonesaw, he was a Mystery Science Theater 3000 fan and movie buff.

Well, looking at the age of that thread EB didn't hit his evolutionary prime.



That threads dated 04. EB didn't start becoming EB until around 06. He was still a pigeon chested blowhard around that time and hadn't read every copy of the  encyclopedia britannica ten times over. Cass once made a post that EB read every book she owned at least five times. I just think he was looking for new ways to call somebody a fag, but that's just me.





As for the KOF, they were a bunch of no talent hacks who would get together and drink each other's semen out the next persons asshole. Think a human centipede conga line where TwaP was Buster Pointdexer saying "he's hot, and he's hot" while swinging his flaccid pecker around like a helicopter. If they were fire knights, I want proof at least one of them was set ablaze.



I asked Doomsgay once what alt flame was and he told me if I went there my brain cells would get raped and I'd lose my hair and start to look like Bonesaw.



Obviously, I heeded that advice and never went.



But, I'd have to say BF is the new alt flame, with the exception your brain will start to look like Fleas lips right after a new injection.



Hey flea, when are you seriously gonna scrape those melted gummies off your face? You need to bling that shit out, like, put some neon under lights in them or something. For Christmas you should turn them into snow globes so when your running for the last little Debbie's it's like an angry snow storm if your not fast enough.



Fleas the only person who's face gets friendzoned. Does anybody remember that podcast she made? She made like an eight minute podcast and six of it was an entire song. Then when the music stopped, it sounded like a cross between OJ Simpson on the witness stand and a tire flattening on account of all the collagen pumped into her 30/40 pound pressured lips. Fleas the only person when she hears a tire pop she grabs hers face.

Caskur was "included" near the end when Riotgear and his collaborators were intentionally fucking everything up for shits and giggles.

She was a mere tool, but worked well for that purpose.

Nothing says "this is shite" like making Caskur an insider.



Does she still crow about all the screenshots of nothing important that she took when she got access to the "Knights" section of the KOF forum?

This part from that epic post about TRF's demise sums up flea





with growing concern they continue on until they come upon a chubby Mexican woman named Flea who is in charge of taking ID photos for all the commune members. Blurry, out of focus pictures taken from weird angles lay at her feet.



They ask Flea what she likes best about the commune.



Flea looks confused, she yells "I swallow!"



The delegation, feeling very uncomfortable, question her further, "What do you do every day?"



Flea holds up both hands and does a double face palm, "Does that answer meet with your approval?" She states blankly.



Brent reaches into his pockets and pulls out a lollipop and hands it to Flea.



Flea's eyes go wide with excitement, her little hands fumbling to remove the wrapper.



Looking at Brent she squinches up her face it what appears to be a smile then thrusts the lollipop in her mouth and begins to suck it with unbridled glee.



Flea then does a small curtsy and skips off.



Brent makes a note of this bizarre behavior and continues his tour

I only miss certain people from Alt.flame who had very unique writing styles and who were very entertaining. Brawl Hall had too much porn and most people can't even remember what took place there, and during that time and even during some of Third Rail, I was also playing World Of Warcraft with the guild when WOW was actually fun.

2-Belo's epic takedown of Maryanne Kehoe was a thing of beauty.

The Stainless Steel Moviegoer was a fun read, as was Checkmate and others whose nyms I can no longer recall off the top of my head.



Although they could be entertaining I don't miss the cascades, alt-caps, and other nonsense.



Some of the ASCII art was entertaining as well.
