I love this kind of shit. It's really cool. So now we can know what a black hole sounds like.

Anyone else dig this kinda thing?

The only space sound that has ever spooked me is Saturn...

The black hole sound is pretty unnerving....but black holes are terrifying. I actually find space overwhelming and terrifying....but I'm drawn to it. Jupiter really creeps me out. It's just so big and gassy and mysterious. And the moons around the planets are really interesting.

Do you guys find space and planets and astrophysics interesting or am I just mentally masturbating myself starting a thread about it?  ac_blush

Yeah it is cool  have you heard what earth sounds like from our  deep space probes looking back and sending us the recordings?

Yes! I've listened to all of them lol.

This is what I do at night when I'm trying to fall asleep. I'm watching cool space stuff OR listening to YouTubers like Mr Ballen(who is awesome) or a few other YouTubers who do true crime videos while they apply make up lol

I'm convinced there is no such thing as "super natural" anything. There is a whole layer to our universe that we simply cannot perceive with our physical senses. We cannot hear anything in space with our regular ears....so we change the frequencies and we can hear it.

There is probably all kinds of stuff we cannot see with our physical eyes.....and if we found a way to manipulate our environment so we could see....I wonder what it would be like.

Sounds in space we cant hear.....what about stuff in space we cant see?

This one is cool

I also find the ocean terrifying and cool. Sounds in the ocean are pretty interesting

I like how when they cant figure out what the sound is...they just say it's an iceberg lol.  They aren't gonna ruin my fantasies of huge ocean monsters in the abyss.

There's a lot of stuff out there that we don't want anything to do with. Steven Hawking warned us about it -

 Yep.

A lot of people agree with him, too. Rightfully. Its beyond foolish if we alert some advanced species out there to our existence.  It's a very bold assumption that they would interact with us peacefully.   It used to give me a lot of anxiety when I was a kid thinking about how humans were searching for life on other planets.

I really do not believe there is life on another planet somewhere.  I don't think we are alone...I just dont think other beings are on other planets. I think our reality is weirder than that.

Hawking's also warned about the using the LHC at CERN. I find that pretty alarming and concerning....more so than some stupid humans trying to contact a species that might kill us all because "progress".

Wait a minute, if the gravitational pull of a black hole is so strong that even light can't escape how does sound get out?

That's the frequencies picked up from it. You cant hear it in space.... they take the frequencies and tweak them so we can hear it.

 It's basically just vibrations.

It's the same way they pick up "sounds" from other planets. Sound doesnt travel in space at all.....its the vibrations that are recorded.

I hope I explained that right lol

Well in 4-5 billion years the Andromeda galaxy will collide with the  Milky Way galaxy so we should be exploring space and finding a way to change the fabric of time and space itself move around to build a spaceship of the future.

So that is our challenge to become a very highly advanced and very highly evolved species.
