I've got most of it done. Still a few items to buy yet.
I don't buy that much for my 2 sons anymore. My Mom lives with us and spoils them with toys. My Dad overdoes it too with the gifts. Then my husband's parents buy for. them too. Our house looks like a Toys R Us store by the day after Boxing Day.
Same here. My mom keeps it reasonable and just gives the girls one gift. Then my husband and I set a money limit on all three (it's not hard and fast.....but it's usually one big thing they want and some other things). And they each get a largish Christmas sock full of little things and silly stuff.
My husbands mother and father divorced a long time ago and both are remarried. So the girls also get a bunch of gifts from his mother and step dad....and then his father and step mom.
Every year when fall hits I do a yearly organizing where we purge everything we dont use, wear or toys that do not get played with.....just to make room and avoid having way too much stuff.
Isn't it terrific having your Mom live with you while your kids are young. I like having her here and so do my boys.
