After three months since Powerball last produced a winner, a winning ticket has been sold, ending a streak of over 40 drawings without a winner.

The jackpot for the early Tuesday drawing was worth $2.04 billion, the largest in U.S. history. The previous largest U.S. lottery jackpot was the Jan. 13, 2016 Powerball drawing, which was worth $1.586 billion.

The lottery could not hold its Monday evening drawing on time, meaning the numbers from last night's game were released this morning. Powerball partners with 48 different state and territorial lotteries, and according to officials, one participating lottery needed more time to process its sales and play data.

"Powerball has stringent security requirements to protect the integrity of the game and remains committed to holding a drawing that gives all players a fair chance to win," Powerball officials said in a statement.

The California Lottery said the winning ticket was sold at Joe's Service Center in Altadena in the Los Angeles area.

The fact that many still think that wealth, money or fame will make them happy is such a falsehood and true B.S....The suckers get sucked, and the players get played is so true.

Let's say you win a nearly a billion dollars in cold hard cash tax free with 24 hours to live what would you do?

Money corrupts... families and larger groups fight amongst themselves when free money starts flowing.

So I would leave about 500 thousand dollars per family member, even distant relatives.  Not enough these days to call it a lottery win, but game changing for some. Then I'd pick a few small towns that I admire for coming together and looking after each other, even if they have little... because "Libertarian" and I'd give each resident 99,999 USD each.

The rest of my funds would go to promote a Gold or Silver lottery system (self funded) where people could buy a ticket with USD, earnest charities (those which tick off the boxes for hard work/hard need), would get the proceeds. The lucky winner/s would have to show their income tax for the previous 2 years and demonstrate they were doing it hard. Any of these charities would have to be reviewed yearly and have equal numbers of both leftists, righties, Christians, Atheists, Libertarians, and just pure outright Voluntaryists or Anarchists.

There would also have to be a supreme court. Only disciplined judges in the legal system that followed their own laws (respective to their nation) 100% of the time, or near that, would be allowed to be nominated. And you could do it ON your lottery ticket.

This is pie in the sky shit, and I'd only have 24 hours before I died...

The very first thing I'd do is wake up lawyers to the tune of millions... and try to get judges to rule on our legal shit...

It wouldn't happen. A billion plus dollars is peanuts.

We're fucked.
Blahhhhhh...
